3.25 stars ⭐ I'm not much of a sci-fi person, but the idea of an 80-year-old wanting to become his 10-year-old self again to undo the biggest regret of his life? That got me hooked. I was fine with the whole time travel thing, except when they started explaining it. Over and over. The quantum physics stuff went way over my head, but I think I understood the multiple universes idea – how you can make copies of a sentient being or "upload" yourself to a network for a virtual world. Maybe? Honest...

Okay, I'll admit, when the alien showed up as a stunning, young, naked woman, I couldn't help but roll my eyes. But trust me, the story dives into some serious depths pretty fast. I completely fell head-over-heels for the characters we meet on this journey, and I was practically on the edge of my seat, dying to know what happened to each of them. I'm so glad I experienced "Time Weaver" by Jerry Merritt as an audiobook – the narrator is just phenomenal. It was my first time listening to Christoph...

This book... This book... This book. There's just no other way to say it. This book, or rather, THESE BOOKS, are pure genius. It's so many different genres and styles, squeezed harmoniously into one and played like a beautiful piano concerto, that I can't even begin to list them all. Let's see, what have we got here? At first, I thought this was going to be some kind of lit RPG parody. A guy finds a huge hole in his backyard with displaced earth nowhere to be seen. Then he starts communicating...

I think the reviews here have vastly overstated the quality of *Time Weaver* by Jerry Merritt. It was entertaining and fun, and the middle section where the main character was a 10-year-old was extremely compelling. If the book had just been about that section of the story, I probably would have awarded it 4 or 5 stars. The prose was lovely, and the story of Joey and Arlie was compelling and sad. The novel fell short in its lazy use of tropes (for example, including a basically magical, all-kno...

I absolutely loved this! Isn't it funny how books you buy on a total whim often end up surprising you in the best possible way? What a heartfelt story Jerry Merritt has crafted. Some parts were so raw and emotional, it made the whole story feel incredibly real.I'm a sucker for time travel stories. I'm a massive Doctor Who fan, after all. But Time Weaver is more than just a time travel book. It's a story about love, about loss, about the ripple effects of our choices. It's about second-guessing e...

As many of my friends know, I'm a huge time-travel story fan. So, I went into Jerry Merritt's *Time Weaver* with high expectations. The first two-thirds of the book were absolutely fantastic, and it was on its way to becoming one of my favorites. But, alas...I recently learned a phrase from my husband, 'jumping the shark,' a term used to describe a moment when something that was once great has reached a point where it will now decline in quality. *Time Weaver* definitely qualifies as a book that...

I usually find time travel novels entertaining reads. This one, Jerry Merritt's *Time Weaver*, was a bit odd, though. I enjoyed the beginning and middle sections quite a bit. Great writing, likable characters, and a story that genuinely held my interest. But then the last third went spectacularly off the rails in a ridiculous way. It felt like Merritt got bored and handed the book off to someone else to finish. Honestly! The shift was jarring, unforgivably confusing, and so far removed from any ...

I was initially skeptical about Jerry Merritt's *Time Weaver*. The early interactions between Cager, the main character, and the decidedly alien Lovely Pebble and Time Glider felt… strange. I honestly questioned my decision to read it. But then, everything started to fall into place, and the story revealed a heart far bigger than I anticipated. I completely fell for every single character, caring for them as deeply as any I've encountered in a book. If you loved *Stand by Me*, *Life After Life*,...

Should Be a Hugo Nominee Note: This is a review of the Audible audio version. For some reason, Goodreads does not list the Audiobook version. One of the best science fiction stories I've read in a long, long time. It's reminiscent of the best work from Heinlein, Asimov, and Clarke. If Jerry Merritt's *Time Weaver* isn't in the running for a Hugo, then the Hugo is no longer representative of the best in Sci-Fi literature. And make no mistake, this *is* literature.Imagine being able to go back and ...

It's rare for me to binge-read a book from cover to cover, devouring every spare moment. It's even rarer for a science fiction story to bring me to tears. Time Weaver has it all: a love worth sacrificing immortality for, devastating loss, mystery, murder, mind-bending technology, and, of course, time travel. Wow! I can't praise this book highly enough! Thank you, Jerry Merritt, for writing this brilliantly crafted tale! If you love sci-fi and are looking for your next great read, definitely chec...
