I was hooked after the first chapter and bugged Dana Bennett to post more. I don't usually like to read, but this book hooked me from the beginning. What a delightful read! I grew up on clean, classic romances like *Pride and Prejudice* (and there’s definitely a Darcy and Elizabeth vibe in how the main character Jones interacts with the women). Later, I got into historical romances like Georgette Heyer’s. While I do enjoy some steamy scenes in my romance novels, it was a refreshing change of pace to read a romance written in that classic, old-school style.
