I absolutely love discovering new authors, and J.F. Kirwan is definitely a new one for me. Judging by how much I enjoyed reading 'The Silent Graves,' I can guarantee I'll be reading more of his work in the future. I thoroughly enjoyed 'The Silent Graves,' and I'll get into why in a bit. The main character is a man called Greg Adams who, as the story begins, works as a criminal psychologist at New Scotland Yard. I was so jealous of his job; becoming a criminal psychologist has to be one of my dr...

I never used to read many thrillers, except for a couple of authors I absolutely loved. Recently, that's changed, and I find that I quite enjoy reading thriller/crime/mystery novels in the late afternoon. Especially now with the summery weather we're having. I get tired, and a thrilling book is exactly what I need to get my energy levels up. "The Silent Graves" caught my attention immediately when I saw the title. Who wouldn't be curious enough to read the synopsis and, knowing it's a crime/thr...

In J.F. Kirwan's **The Silent Graves**, serial killers in London are like buses – you wait ages, then they all arrive at once. Greg Adams, it seems, has been involved in the capture of no less than six. In true serial killer fashion, they've all got catchy names like The Torch and The Gravedigger. To top it off, while Greg was busy helping catch number six, The Divine, another one, known as The Dreamer, was supposedly murdering his wife, Kate. At least, that's what everyone believed...until now....

Another author discovered thanks to the ever-reliable Bloodhound Books, and what an absolutely cracking novel this is! Greg Adams is a psychologist working with Scotland Yard, responsible for putting away quite a few serial killers. When his wife is murdered by one of those very killers, Greg is understandably tempted to end it all. However, he's persuaded to take on the case, a decision fraught with danger for himself. J.F. Kirwan's narrative in *The Silent Graves* is tense and tightly wound, t...
