5 stars - Paperback edition. Be warned if you decide to pick up this book: you will be pulled into the story with incredible force, taken on a rollercoaster of suspense and emotion, and you won't fully surface until you've reached the final page. Glenn Meade masterfully portrays how the assassination of the Romanov tsarist family might have truly unfolded in the last century, along with the desperate attempts from both inside and outside Russia to stop it. In short: another peerless thriller fro...

Wow! What a journey.
While this novel begins and ends in the present day, the vast majority of the story takes place in 1918 Russia. At the start of this 515-page tale, the author notes that much of the narrative is based on historical fact. This is only the second book by Glenn Meade that I’ve read, but I absolutely love how he weaves a riveting storyline together with real-life events.
The Romanov Conspiracy is primarily about a daring rescue attempt to save the Romanov family and the dramat...

I really enjoyed this one. The Romanov Conspiracy by Glenn Meade is a fantastic read that weaves a gripping story into real historical events perfectly. It is an absolute must-read for fans of historical thrillers. I was lucky enough to snag this in a 99-cent promotion, and it was worth every penny.

Essentially a mediocre airport novel that I can imagine mildly entertaining someone else’s dad while on vacation. Not my dad, obviously, because he would think it was a load of poorly written rubbish. But maybe someone like the father of my best friend from school—a smart, very nice, very friendly guy who, nonetheless, read a terrible newspaper every single day.
There are so many issues I had with The Romanov Conspiracy by Glenn Meade (and I’m sure I’ll get to discuss some of them at th...

The Basics2.65 starsIt was a 3-star read until about page 400, when the flaws in The Romanov Conspiracy really started to pile up. The thing is, I saw potential here, but I never got into it enough to see that potential actually pay off. It was confusing, and the characters all felt pretty shallow. They used the same tired strategies over and over again, yet somehow magically escaped every time. Like a lot of books, at least the writing was decent.Trope Check*One-dimensional villains*Evil Russia...

“The Romanov Conspiracy” by Glenn Meade, published by Howard Books.
Category – Historical Fiction/Mystery/Thriller
This is a must-read for any fan of historical fiction or mystery thrillers who loves a good conspiracy mixed with high-stakes action and real-world history. There are countless stories about the tragic end of the Romanov family, but none quite compare to the intensity of “The Romanov Conspiracy”. This is a meticulously researched book that blurs the lines between fact and fiction,...

Oh my word! I’ve been fascinated by the tragedy of the Romanovs since my early teens, so I was eagerly awaiting Glenn Meade’s take on the events of that dark night in The Romanov Conspiracy. I expected adventure, action, and a hint of romance, and I certainly wasn’t disappointed! What I didn’t expect, however, was to be kept on the edge of my seat. I mean—come on—we all know how this story ends, right? But who wants to read THAT ending again (I’ve already covered that in countless history books)...

The Romanov Conspiracy by Glenn Meade is a masterful retelling of the tragic events in Russia when the Czar and his family were held captive in Ekaterinburg. The story is packed with vibrant, lifelike characters—from Princess Anastasia and Sorg to the brave souls who fought to save them from that fateful night in 1918. You truly get a front-row seat to the desperate measures taken to rescue the Romanovs. When Dr. Pavlov uncovers a frozen body during an excavation in Russia, she finds the key to ...
