I won this book in a Goodreads giveaway.
This is some seriously dense science fiction, dealing with time travel and all its potential consequences. It seems like everyone who daydreams about time travel wants to go back and save JFK or Lincoln, or take out Hitler.
Essentially, a guy with a scientist father saves his dad, inadvertently creating a whole new universe. Meanwhile, a time cop visiting an alternate reality finds himself stranded.
It's confusing, but in a good way. Will Entrekin’s *T...

I'm still grappling with how to rate "The Prodigal Hour: A Time-Bending Thriller" and honestly, I might bump it up to 3 stars after I've had some time to really think about it. Because right now… WTF just happened? I don't… I'm not sure… I just…The beginning was super important, and the end was super important (or was *that* really the beginning?). But I'm unsure why a big chunk of the middle happened. And I was so confused when Chance got shot at the end. Here's why: If Chance & Cassie did...

This book, *The Prodigal Hour: A Time-Bending Thriller* by Will Entrekin, desperately needed a better editor. The typos and other errors were all over the place, and the writing quality fluctuated wildly, going from pretty decent to downright awful. The science was so shaky that it would have been better if Will Entrekin had skipped any attempt to explain the time travel physics. Plus, he kept using words like "supercollided," which might be mildly jarring the first time, but became positively i...

Ever since I discovered the writings of Michael Crichton, Timeline has been my go-to time travel novel. But I've finally found one that dethrones it: The Prodigal Hour: A Time-Bending Thriller. Will Entrekin's novel tackles quantum physics on a level that I barely understand. For the most part, I'm not even sure if the theoretical science is sound, but it's compelling and logical to me.
It aligns with my own logic and understanding of time travel, which made it instantly relatable. I appreciate...

I want to review *The Prodigal Hour: A Time-Bending Thriller*, but I honestly don't think my words can do it justice. It's that good. It's a fantastic story that manages to be both complex and straightforward. The whole idea of time travel and what it could mean opens up so many possibilities, and it keeps you guessing right up to the very last page. The writing is excellent, packed with action, and driven by characters you actually care about. What else could you ask for?In his acknowledgments, ...

I'm not usually a fan of time travel, and science fiction isn't really my thing, but I absolutely devoured "The Prodigal Hour: A Time-Bending Thriller." I always get a thrill when a book from outside my usual genres grabs me and keeps me hooked, all thanks to a compelling story and fantastic writing.
Without giving away any spoilers, I was really impressed that I felt equally invested in the characters in both timelines or realities. The alternate timeline felt just as fleshed out and real as o...

Or try to "fix" some of the horrific events in world history?Chance Sowin gains this ability just six weeks after escaping the World Trade Center attacks. He moves back home, seeking the security it always offered. But that security is brutally ripped away when he interrupts a burglary and his father, Dennis, is shot and killed. The homicide investigation suddenly focuse...

(Spoiler alert! Seriously, stop reading if you want every single plot point to be a total shock.)Like any seasoned time traveler will tell you, the first impulse of a newbie is always to off Hitler. Makes sense, right? The Nazis are one of history's biggest stains, and it feels like it could all be avoided by just taking out one power-hungry art school dropout. So, I'll admit, when I was reading The Prodigal Hour: A Time-Bending Thriller, and (spoiler!) the main character, Chance, suggests bumpi...

The Prodigal Hour: A Time-Bending Thriller is, to say the least, an ambitious novel. It’s both strange and complex, and for all the right reasons. The author, Will Entrekin, has somehow managed to intertwine the tragedies of September 11th, the crucifixion of Jesus, and the possibility of time travel into a single narrative. And he pulls it off admirably. I already feel like...read more

A couple of months ago, I read *Meets Girl* by Will Entrekin and instantly became a fan. I jokingly said in my review that if he needed someone to review *The Prodigal Hour: A Time-Bending Thriller*, his forthcoming novel, to give me a shout. Well, he took me seriously! (YAY!)A few weeks ago, Will sent me an email with his new 'baby' attached. I was super eager to dive in. I had grand plans to devour it in one sitting, but, as we all know, life gets in the way. Things have been crazy hectic for ...
