Mia Thermopolis is utterly convinced there's nothing worse than being a five-foot-nine, flat-chested freshman, especially when she's flunking Algebra. But her ordinary high school life is about to get a massive royal surprise! First, her mom announces she's dating Mia's Algebra teacher. Then, her es...

A comfortable and fun read If you haven't picked up Meg Cabot's 'The Princess Diaries' yet, you're seriously missing out on some prime YA goodness. This delightful teen fiction offers so much more than just a royal fantasy. But don't think for a second that 'The Princess Diaries' is just fluff. Our beloved Mia has to deal with some truly real stuff, like finding her own voice, standing up for herself, and figuring out what kind of person – and princess – she truly wants to be. It's got that class...

The Princess Diaries by Meg Cabot offers good, light-hearted, and enjoyable entertainment. While it's largely undemanding fun, some parts do feel a bit dated at times.

Meg Cabot's The Princess Diaries is, at times, pretty un-P.C. and perhaps hasn't aged perfectly, but it's still fantastic entertainment, and I found myself laughing out loud. What a trip down memory lane! This teen fiction classic truly brings back all the childhood feels. 🥺

Reading The Princess Diaries was entirely a blast from the past, feeling just like rewatching the movie since both are so similar and wonderfully nostalgic. Sure, Meg Cabot's The Princess Diaries focuses on some wonderfully melodramatic and cheesy plot points, but what made it so much fun was definitely Mia's incredible sass and her exasperation with her whole situation. I did wish this installment had delved more into Mia's transition to princess life, rather than her trying to keep things norm...

Mia Thermopolis isn't particularly beautiful or graceful by her own admission, frequently worrying about her height and abnormally large feet. But she had a mostly happy childhood with her single mom and friends in NYC. Her mom was a painter and is dating her algebra teacher (ohgawdno). Annnnnnd her dad happens to be the crown prince of a small European country called Genovia....which means...SHE'S A FREAKING PRINCESS?And with that comes a whole host of new problems. Like princess lessons with he...

Unfortunately, I couldn't finish Meg Cabot's 'The Princess Diaries'. I only got ten pages into this young adult novel, and I simply couldn't handle Mia's obsession with kissing, the size of her chest, and half a dozen other equally off-putting things. For this book review, I can only say I'll stick to the movies, thank you very much.

THIS BOOK IS A MODERN CLASSIC.Honestly, I read *The Princess Diaries* by Meg Cabot in *middle school* and I still like it. Can you believe that? This young adult classic is so good that it makes current brilliant cool me agree with twelve-year-old me, who loved Justin Bieber and thought Aeropostale graphic tees were the height of fashion. It's miraculous. Also, I'm amazing. (Just thought I'd clarify that in case my previous statement hadn't made it clear.)Anyway, *The Princess Diaries* is so so ...

I first read The Princess Diaries series YEARS ago, but with *A Royal Wedding* coming out this summer, I thought it was the perfect time for a reread! I simply loved it! I honestly thought that since I'm so much older now, I wouldn't enjoy it as much, and maybe I'd even get a little annoyed (freshman Mia can be *quite* dramatic), but I didn't! It was absolutely perfect! I'm so excited to continue reading through The Princess Diaries series until the new book by Meg Cabot comes out! In some ways,...

If you've seen the movie version, *The Princess Diaries* book covers roughly the first third or maybe half of the film (from what I remember), but don't let that trick you into thinking nothing much happens within its pages.Mia Thermopolis lives in Manhattan with her artist mother, Helen, attending a private school called Albert Einstein High and spending her summers with her father and his mother at her chateau in France. She knows they're rich, but she assumes her dad is just a politician. At ...

I never got around to reading Meg Cabot's *The Princess Diaries* when I was the protagonist Mia's age, and since the book and movie series became so popular, I recently decided to take a trip back to childhood and finally dive into this beloved YA novel. It was a quick read, thankfully, but I didn't find it nearly as endearing as the movie version (which is substantially different from the novel). *The Princess Diaries* seemed awfully light on plot and substance. Character development was minima...
