I'd give "The Legend of the Bloodstone (Time Walkers Book 1)" negative stars if I could. I hated almost everything about it. The heroine, the storyline, the character development, etc. And the research feels lazy, to say the least. I know time travel books are having a moment, but that doesn't excuse half-assing the historical details, especially when dealing with huge cultural and temporal differences. I don't need 100% historical accuracy in my fiction, but several things just didn't ring true...

I picked up "The Legend of the Bloodstone (Time Walkers Book 1)" after it was recommended in my time travel book club, and I'm so glad I did! I probably wouldn't have discovered it otherwise. Honestly, it's giving me serious vibes of my all-time favorite series, Outlander by Diana Gabaldon. History, time travel, romance...it's got everything I love in a book! If you're looking for a great time travel book review, definitely check out "The Legend of the Bloodstone (Time Walkers Book 1)" by E.B. B...

This is a really great, fast-paced story that keeps you guessing about the final outcome right up until the last page. The only thing that kept me from awarding five stars to this book was the sheer number of basic errors in grammar and vocabulary. Maybe I'm being too picky!Maggie McMillan is working on her farm in 2012, tidying out the barn, when she accidentally travels back in time to 1622. How does that happen? She simultaneously cuts her hand and touches a bloodstone. Whenever these circums...

Okay, so here's the deal. I'm not a fan of bodice-ripping (or, in this case, buckskin-ripping) romances. When those steamy scenes come up, I tend to skim, thinking, "she kissed him blah blah blah and blahed his blah blah blah." So, clearly, I'm not the target audience for E.B. Brown's *The Legend of the Bloodstone (Time Walkers Book 1)*. The first half is way too heavy on the "quivering" (x3), "shaking" (x48), and "shivering" (x14) for my liking. So why did I even read *The Legend of the Bloods...

Well, I'm a sucker for anything involving time travel, and this "time travel romance" was a lot of fun. As an "old guy," I'm not the target demographic for this genre. But E.B. Brown is a great storyteller with an excellent sense of pace who always surprised me. I didn't even know "Time Travel—sub-genre historical-romance was a thing." Red-headed girl Maggie in our present accidentally time travels back hundreds of years and is captured and/or rescued by Indians as a slave and/or… I’m waiting ...

As this is the first book I've read about 17th-century Native American Indians, the best comparison I can primitively draw is to the movie *Dances with Wolves* sprinkled with time-slip travel and, well, lots of lovemaking. Although I'm not exactly *The Legend of the Bloodstone (Time Walkers Book 1)*'s target audience, I can thoroughly recommend this book by E.B. Brown if you enjoy time travel romances with plenty of lust and exotic backdrops. I picked it up because, one, I'm a time travel lover,...

I really enjoyed the historical backdrop and thought the time-travel aspects were handled skillfully. The romance was also a treat – the characters felt mostly real, though there were moments I wanted Maggie to get a grip and realize Winn was showing incredible restraint, considering the time period. A few minor editing glitches did pull me out of the story here and there, but the engaging plot and characters always drew me right back in. Eagerly awaiting the next installment in "The Legend of t...

What a wonderful, thought-provoking, and heartfelt story. I highly recommend "The Legend of the Bloodstone (Time Walkers Book 1)" if you're a fan of "Outlander" or "Out of Time." E.B. Brown's writing style is so genuine and precise. You become completely involved with the characters; you love them, you hate them, and ultimately, you understand their choices, decisions, and frustrations. There are themes of time travel, magic, romance, history, and historical battle. Maggie is transported back ...

Romance novels have never really been my thing, and frankly, "The Legend of the Bloodstone (Time Walkers Book 1)" by E.B. Brown hasn't changed my mind. I wouldn't normally pick up a book like this, but it was chosen for our book club—we're a time travel group—so I decided to venture outside my usual reading preferences. And I'm actually glad I did. There was enough historical drama and time-travel mystery to hold my interest, even as someone who isn't particularly keen on romance. I will say, th...

`The Legend of the Bloodstone (Time Walkers Book 1),' penned by debut novelist E.B. Brown, is a remarkable book that's sure to please. Marketed as both a historical romance and a romantic fantasy, Brown's novel delivers an adventure that goes beyond genre boundaries, appealing to male readers just as much as female ones. The story moves at a brisk pace, never dragging, and gives readers a glimpse into early America, where danger lurks around every corner. Set against the backdrop of early Native...
