I have this feeling that God is punishing me for something. Every time I pick something to read, it turns out to be either trash or complete garbage."Chernobyl?" Elizabeth repeated. "What was my father doing in Russia?"F#ck me...This book is simply unreadable in 2024. And not just because of the author's geographical ignorance (the book was published in 2008, by the way), but also because he mixed a whole bunch of things in this book: Delphic oracles, Chernobyl, gypsies, Greece, radiation, Russi...

It's impossible not to love this author's books. The Sigma Force collection always unearths themes lost to history. "The Last Oracle (Sigma Force, Book 5)" is no exception. How can a single coin reveal so many hidden secrets? How can a coin be the key to unraveling lost stories and pointing to other times? The coin triggers a series of moments that will be etched into history and science. This coin is far from ordinary. On the other hand, we have the mystery of the first oracle in history, the O...

Regarding James Rollins and Sigma Force:I read about James Rollins in an online magazine, "James Rollins is everything that Dan Brown wants to be." At the time, I wasn't familiar with Rollins' writing, so I didn't pay much attention to the statement. However, after reading a few standalone books and the Sigma Force series, I have to somewhat agree. This gentleman, a veterinarian by profession, does a lot of research and studies when he writes. As a result, one masterpiece after another is born; ...

O-U-T-S-T-A-N-D-I-N-G!! Okay, let's be real, sometimes you just need a book that delivers pure, unadulterated excitement. And James Rollins' *The Last Oracle (Sigma Force, Book 5)*? It absolutely nails it. This isn't high literature; it's a high-octane thrill ride, and I was buckled in from page one. For fans of action-packed book reviews, this one's a winner. If you're looking for an escape, grab *The Last Oracle (Sigma Force, Book 5)* and prepare to be blown away!

Writing about characters that the reader simply doesn't care about is a recipe for disaster. 1 out of 10 stars. If you're looking for a good book review, skip this one and maybe skip "The Last Oracle (Sigma Force, Book 5)" by James Rollins too.

Reading this one out of order was fine, but for me, the ideas felt a little disjointed. I'd say it's a good book, especially if you're already familiar with James Rollins' Sigma Force series, but jumping in without that background made the plot of *The Last Oracle* feel a bit jumpy.

The Last Oracle is the 5th book in the Sigma Force series by James Rollins. Years ago, I devoured thriller/suspense novels about archaeological finds, ancient curses, and international espionage, but I drifted away from them. Earlier this year, I started adding them back to my reading list and remembered how much I loved them. Now I’m playing catch-up with about 20 across several series, and I think I might be diving back in too fast. So often, they feel too similar and bogged down with excessiv...

There's a unique kind of joy in reading a book before it's even released. Whether it's a translation or an original work. And if it's an easy read... well, need I say more?
:) If you're a James Rollins fan eagerly awaiting the next Sigma Force adventure, you're in for a treat with *The Last Oracle*. It's the kind of thriller that grabs you from the first page and doesn't let go. For those looking for exciting book reviews, this one definitely delivers the goods.

4 Stars for an Old FriendWhen I picked up The Last Oracle as my next read, I didn't realize it had been almost two years since I read the last book in the Sigma Series. I was pretty surprised to see how far behind I'd gotten. Absence, as they say, makes the heart grow fonder. Picking up a James Rollins novel is like catching up with an old friend. The story flows so well, and the characters are likable and familiar, which is always comforting. Re-entering the world of Sigma Force with The Last O...

I absolutely love the Sigma Force novels by James Rollins, and "The Last Oracle" was no let down. He's everything Dan Brown wishes he could be. The stories are smartly paced, well-researched, intriguing, funny, thrilling, and full of heart. The characters are well crafted, and we get so caught up in their personalities, even without boring side plots that reveal their relationships. This one picks up after a very intense cliffhanger, so if you're new to the series I wouldn't suggest starting wit...
