DNF at 27% I'm tapping out of "The Gabe Relics" at 27%. Sadly, this one just isn't grabbing me. While I appreciate Aisha Muharrar's writing style, the story isn't clicking for me, and I'm not feeling invested in the characters. There are so many great books out there, and life's too short to force myself to read something I'm not enjoying. Maybe it's just not the right time for me to read "The Gabe Relics."

4/5- "The Gabe Relics" would be SUCH a fantastic pick for a book club because it thoughtfully guides the reader through so many relatable human experiences, like the complexities of grief and the messiness of love.- I can't believe this is Aisha Muharrar's debut novel! I genuinely loved it because of the incredible depth it offers as you read!- If you've ever dealt with grief, this book will leave you feeling a little less isolated in your experience, and you'll find yourself relating to it imme...

I knew a writer from *Hacks* wasn't going to write a bad book, but oh, baby… let's crank up "Sharpest Tool" by Sabrina Carpenter for my girl Julia right here! Aisha Muharrar's *The Gabe Relics* is an absolute triumph. If you're looking for a laugh-out-loud, whip-smart book review, look no further. *The Gabe Relics* is it.

I'm honestly surprised by all the hype surrounding *The Gabe Relics*. The writing itself is okay, but if you've read a decent amount of New Adult fiction, you've already encountered countless versions of this story. There's definitely a conversation to be had about how tired the claim of "realistic explorations of grief" has become in modern literature, but I'm not even sure it truly applies here. I guess in the very broadest sense—that grief can lead people to act strangely—maybe, but I certain...

2.5 stars – "The Gabe Relics" just didn't click for me; I found it kind of dull. Aisha Muharrar's constant use of "bwahayhay" was distracting, and I honestly had no clue what it was supposed to mean (laughing, maybe?). The characters were all just…meh. I do love the cover, though. If you're looking for quick book reviews, this one's simple: didn't love it.

Julia is carrying a kind of loss that doesn’t fit neatly into any category—Gabe wasn’t her boyfriend, not really, but he wasn’t just a friend either. Their bond existed in this in-between space, which makes his sudden absence even harder to define. When she travels to London to pack up what’s left of his life, the task seems straightforward, but of course it isn’t. She keeps discovering versions of Gabe that belonged to other people, and the process forces her to not only deal with her own feel...

This is the kind of book that feels like a friend grabbing you in the kitchen at a party to spill the most unbelievable story. With Aisha Muharrar's *The Gabe Relics*, you're not just reading a book; you're getting the inside scoop. If you're looking for a compelling read, *The Gabe Relics* delivers.

Aisha Muharrar's *The Gabe Relics* brought back that feeling of comfort movies and sick days spent in bed. It's genuinely funny, absolutely heart-wrenching, and feels like a breath of fresh air in contemporary fiction. The story opens with a funeral – Julia has just lost her best friend, Gabe, who unexpectedly passed away while on tour with his band. Julia is devastated, especially because she and Gabe hadn’t been on speaking terms before he died. When she gets the chance to track down some ...

There's just something about this cover that screamed, "You're gonna like this book."And I did!https://emmareadstoomuch.substack.com...I just had a gut feeling I'd have a good time with it—maybe it was that cheerful yellow cover? Doesn't matter what gave me that instinct, because it was spot on. I'm never second-guessing myself again. Consider this your official warning.Despite the weighty themes in *The Gabe Relics* by Aisha Muharrar, so much of it felt light and refreshing. Could've been the t...
