👶🏻5 Stars for this Powerful story of Family, Love, Loss & Hope!👩🏻From the very first page, *The Dream Daughter* completely captivated me. The story never lagged; the twists and turns kept coming, right alongside the heartache. Despite the sci-fi aspects, this story felt incredibly relatable as a mother. At its heart, it's a testament to the overwhelming power of a mother's love. If you're looking for compelling book reviews, definitely consider this one. It's 1970, and Carly discovers her unb...

Oh, this book. This book absolutely wrecked me, but in the best way possible. All the stars and all the tears. I was seriously wary going into this one because: time travel. It's just not my thing. But Diane Chamberlain completely flipped the script on my skeptical self and blew this one out of the water. Basically, *The Dream Daughter* is a story about a mother's unconditional, unwavering love and how she'll do absolutely anything for her daughter. As a mom myself, I found this so beautifully r...

4.5 starsIt's 1970, and Caroline Sears' baby has a severe heart defect, needing surgery with slim odds. The only hope for her child is to travel to a time when the surgery is possible. To save her baby, she needs this advanced surgery, or the baby won't survive. Carly's brother-in-law, a physicist, knows how to time travel. Carly asks Hunter, how does time travel work, and how can she go to the future? Hunter has it all mapped out. He explains that he'd use his computer to pinpoint the exact loca...

Where do I even begin? I'm almost speechless because Diane Chamberlain's *The Dream Daughter* meant so much to me, and I desperately want to convey that, but I'm struggling to find the right words. I went into this one as blind as possible, which was a fantastic idea. As my Goodreads friend and reviewer Dee put it, "I think that the blurb for this book is very well written. It doesn’t give all the good stuff away, and I promise I won’t either. I didn’t know very much going into this novel and I’...

***AN EXCEPTIONAL BOOK ABOUT TIME TRAVEL AND A MOTHER'S LOVE***I'm not usually a fan of time travel stories, with a few exceptions, but this was so much more! I've never read a book by Diane Chamberlain before, but I'll certainly be adding her books to my TBR list. This book, The Dream Daughter, is really about a mother and the choices she makes to ensure her baby survives, first and foremost, and also to have a healthy and happy life. The book's prologue starts in 1965 when Caroline Grant, a phy...

The year is 1970. Shortly after discovering her husband died in Vietnam, twenty-seven-year-old Carly learns she's pregnant. Then comes the devastating news: her baby has a heart defect that will likely prove fatal soon after birth. That's when Carly's brother-in-law, Hunter, drops a bombshell – he's a time traveler. He offers her a chance to jump to 2001, where a surgery might save her baby's life. Despite the fear of leaving her only remaining family, her sister Patty, Carly grabs the chance t...

My reviews can also be seen at: https://deesradreadsandreviews.wordpr...5 Stars!!!!!I've been a Diane Chamberlain fan for years, and I always get excited when a new book of hers is coming out. So, needless to say, I was thrilled to get an early copy of "The Dream Daughter."I think the blurb for this book is spot on. It doesn't give away all the good stuff, and I promise I won't either. I went into this novel knowing very little, and I'm glad I did.The story kicks off in 1970. Twenty-six-year-old...

I can’t actually say that I believe time travel is possible, but I’m usually able to accept it in a work of fiction because anything can be made possible by an imaginative writer. Diane Chamberlain has made anything possible in this story, and I was swept across the decades. What kind of unimaginable things would you do to save your unborn child? What Carly does reflects the depth of a mother's love for her daughter when she travels from 1970 North Carolina to 2001 New York so her unborn baby ca...

But for now… let me just say… sometimes a book like this is the PERFECT book date!!! VIVA-LA-MELTY!!!!!! I completely melted into Diane Chamberlain’s storytelling. Want to know a few more details?! BABY TIDBI...
