Imagine a town where the party never stops, you set your own hours, work is optional, and everything's free. Sounds like paradise, right? But what if you're trapped, with no memory of how you got there and no way out? And what if the only other people are prisoners, just like you? Would you still wa...

L. M. Smith is the author of the Jazz Nemesis series, a gritty, genre-bending saga where faith meets fallout and humor still finds room to breathe. Her work fuses dark psychology with mythic world-building, creating stories that are equal parts cinematic and uncomfortably human. She lives in Las Vegas, Nevada, with her...

This story is absolutely amazing! From the very first page, I was completely hooked and couldn't stop reading. I was dying to know where the plot was headed, desperate for all the answers.Five strangers find themselves as "citizens" of Kolob, a desolate and isolated town ruled by a sinister and evil Mayor. These citizens are at the mercy of their captor, constantly searching for a way to escape. They forge friendships with each other, but can they truly trust one another? Will they turn on each ...

I received a copy of "The Citizens (Jazz Nemesis, Book 1)" from L.M. Smith for an honest review.
Jasmine gets kidnapped from her farm and winds up in Kolob, locked in a room. She hears another woman trying to get out, and when she finally escapes herself, she runs (literally!) into Beck while searching for help. Neither of them remembers anything other than waking up in their rooms. They quickly realize they've been kidnapped and placed in this town. The big question is: why? Well, that's revea...

Review of L.M. Smith’s The Citizens (Jazz Nemesis, Book 1)
The Citizens (Jazz Nemesis, Book 1) is a character-driven story about a group of individuals who are abducted and thrown together in an apparently deserted, or perhaps mocked-up, “town.” All their basic needs are met – food, shelter, and clothing, and some latitude for choice is afforded. There’s just one catch: none of them are free to leave, yet there isn’t a captor or a minion anywhere in sight--only video cameras and ankle monitors ...

The Citizens (Jazz Nemesis, Book 1) by L.M. Smith (Goodreads Author) Synopsis from Goodreads"Imagine a town where you can stay out as late as you want, wake up when it suits you, you never have to go to work, and everything is free for the taking. Sounds perfect right? But what if you can’t remember where you are or how you got there? What if you can’t ever leave? And what if the only other people around are hostages, just like you? Would you still want to stay?Jasmine Marshall certainly didn’t ...

I received *The Citizens (Jazz Nemesis, Book 1)* in exchange for an honest review. Jasmine is a gamer who generally keeps to herself. So, when she wakes up in a strange hotel with four other people, she's understandably unsure what to do or how to act. Jazz, Beck, Kaori, Piper, and Gordon are all trapped in this abandoned town. Unseen captors hold them there, and escape is impossible due to ankle monitors that deliver electric shocks and sedatives. They quickly realize they can't leave and can't...

This book, The Citizens (Jazz Nemesis, Book 1) by L.M. Smith, had so many twists and turns that I'm honestly not sure where to begin. All I can say is that this story has left me absolutely craving more. After everything the five main characters went through, it's not even finished when the book ends! The character development throughout The Citizens is amazing; seeing how they change during the story is just incredible. The way they interacted, depended on each other, and discovered they were s...

This is definitely going to be on my top ten list of mind-blowingly awesome reads of 2012. I'm not kidding. I was completely blown away by the sheer intensity and brilliant storyline of L.M. Smith's *The Citizens (Jazz Nemesis, Book 1)*!Honestly, I just want to beg you to go buy this book – no matter the price – and bump it to the top of your TBR pile. But here are a few more reasons why I guarantee you'll agree that *The Citizens (Jazz Nemesis, Book 1)* should be made into a TV series, or at th...

This book was absolutely amazing! It grabbed me from the very beginning and didn't let go, with twist after twist. I was certain I knew what was coming next, but nope! It was something completely different. I can't wait to read more from L.M. Smith!
Living with no TV or any form of entertainment except each other? I'm not sure I could survive that, lol! "The Citizens (Jazz Nemesis, Book 1)" is a must-read if you're looking for thrilling book reviews. This first book by L.M. Smith has me hooked.

I absolutely adore The Citizens (Jazz Nemesis, Book 1). At 3% in, I thought, "Ah, I know where this is headed"; at 7% it became apparent that I had it wrong. Then, as the story progressed, I formed theory after theory. I have to say, all of them were wrong. This is a reading experience that might not appeal to everyone, but if you love suspenseful book reviews, you're in for a treat. As the citizens of Kolob realize they are in it for the long haul, so does the reader. It's a matter of survival ...

The following reviews can be found on Amazon.com by their original authors.Intrigued from the beginning! - 5 STARSBy Misty Rettagliata"I found the book to be an exciting read. It's full of suspense and leaves you with all these questions that you "just have to know" so you keep reading. The end had a bit of an odd twist to it. But there is no doubt that a sequel MUST be in the works in order to quell the remaining questions. This wasn't an ending I could just put my own assumptions to...KEEP WRI...
