➳ 2 starsWow. I honestly never thought I'd give an Elin Hilderbrand novel such a low rating, but here we are. To start, time of death @ page 130. I do review books I didn't finish, so take this with a grain of salt. I'm hoping I can come back to *The Boarding School* sometime next year, but right now, I'm not forcing myself to keep reading something I'm not enjoying—though I am glad for the genre change in my reading journey. Looking for honest book reviews? Keep reading.First of all, this is El...

Pleasantly surprised! I honestly didn't know what to expect from Elin Hilderbrand stepping away from Nantucket, especially with her daughter Shelby co-writing. But I was hooked.I absolutely loved the setting of *The Boarding School*. Tiffin is this cozy, intimate academy that gave me all the nostalgic feels for a high school experience I never even had. It just pulls you in.The characters are wonderfully unlikeable, the kind you can't look away from. You almost root for them to make terrible dec...

Oof, you guys. That’s honestly the only way I can start this review of Elin Hilderbrand's *The Boarding School*. Just... oof. This book hits you right in the feels, and I mean *hard*. If you're looking for a light, breezy summer read, maybe pick up one of Hilderbrand's other books, because *The Boarding School* is anything BUT. From the very first page, you're pulled into a world of secrets, grief, and complex relationships. The characters are so well-developed, you feel like you *know* them....

4.5 stars! There's nothing quite like getting completely lost in an Elin Hilderbrand novel, truly! It's the absolute peak reading experience. The drama, the mystery, the setting, and the descriptions are all top-notch. If you adore everything about her Nantucket novels the way I do, then you're going to love this. Set at a boarding school, we get all the stories at Tiffin Academy from pretty much every character's perspective, which makes for the best, most well-rounded story. What on earth is i...

2.5 Stars Okay, so *The Boarding School* by Elin Hilderbrand is my eleventh Elin book (I think!), but honestly, it's way down at the bottom of the list. If you absolutely hate modern references in your books, steer clear of this one. Even *I* had trouble getting through it without the audiobook. (They name-drop Alix Earle, just as an example of where this is going). The story’s set in 2025 (which explains the modern references, but wow, there were a *lot* for my taste) at a New England boarding s...

3 stars ⭐️ Okay, seriously, what was in that email??? What's with me and books that leave you hanging with unanswered questions and endings that just…stop? At least "The Boarding School" is a series, so maybe I'll get some answers eventually. This is classic Elin Hilderbrand – tons of drama and multiple points of view. But this one went a little overboard on the POVs. We were getting insights from people's parents, for crying out loud! What was the point? There were so many perspectives that ...

Elin, girl, wtf was that? Regarding "The Boarding School" by Elin Hilderbrand, I'm left completely speechless. This book review reflects my utter shock. Seriously, Elin, *what* was that?

I'm 88 pages in, and honestly, that's all I need to say about "The Boarding School" by Elin Hilderbrand. Enough is enough. If you're looking for an honest book review, save your time and skip this one.

I absolutely adore boarding school novels. Ever since I devoured Curtis Sittenfeld's *Prep*, I've been searching for another one to completely lose myself in. Well, Elin Hilderbrand and her daughter Shelby have delivered an absolute gem with *The Boarding School*. It's a fantastic read! The characters are spot-on, representing the best—and maybe some of the not-so-best—students, teachers, and staff that you'd expect to find at a boarding school. It's kind of an 'all the usual suspects' situatio...

This review is tough to write because I'm a huge Elin Hilderbrand fan! But *The Boarding School* just didn't click for me, and felt like it had too many unresolved plot threads. We're introduced to a bunch of high schoolers and their teachers/administrators at a private school as they go through the school year. The story kicks off when a website pops up, sharing their secrets (think *Gossip Girl*), and causing chaos. One of my biggest problems with the book was the sheer number of characters in...
