I went into "The Biographer's Dilemma" having heard such mixed things, so I’m incredibly happy to say I ABSOLUTELY LOVED IT!! I'm always a fan of Emily Henry's romances, but I particularly connected with Margaret's story (even though I know a lot of people felt it was slow-paced). This book really felt like an Emily Henry rom-com meets *The Seven Husbands of Evelyn Hugo*.AND THE ENDING! I never saw it coming. Seriously teared up twice 😭 it was that good. If you're looking for amazing book revie...

The idea of a story within a story, and having an Emily Henry book that isn’t solely focused on our two main characters, but instead features a third, pretty important one, felt so new, fun, and refreshing to me!Seeing how Hayden and Alice met, started hanging out, and their initial dynamic really grabbed me! On the other hand, Margaret’s story actually bored me to tears. And then the romance pacing went from zero to a hundred – I was so confused! Where's the yearning? The Emily Henry banter? Th...

Speaking as a total Emily Henry devotee: Emily... please, slow down! We don't need a new book every single year if it means the quality suffers! "The Biographer's Dilemma" feels like a rough draft that needed another pass, because the structure just doesn't quite gel. The premise? Amazing. The execution? A total mess!"The Biographer's Dilemma" tries to blend three genres: literary fiction, romance, and a dash of mystery. Howeverrrr, I'm not convinced it will fully satisfy fans of any of those ge...

Oh, Emily… what are we doing here?? I got my hands on an advance copy (!!!), fully expecting to be obsessed, and instead I was just sitting there like—hello?? Romance? Is anyone home??First of all: STOP. MISLABELING. BOOKS.I don’t care how beautiful the prose is (and yes, the writing was gorgeous)—this book is being sold as a romance. It is not a romance. This was women's fiction with a sprinkle of mystery and a dry, slow-burn subplot that didn’t even simmer. And I’m saying this as someone who d...

If anyone happened to see a girl crying in her car while passing exit 428 on the 5 freeway today, that was me listening to Julia Whelan read the last line of "The Biographer's Dilemma". Thank god for Emily Henry's beautifully expressive writing. I'll be back at some point to talk about how Emily Henry absolutely nailed the craft of weaving together, like, six different character arcs into that spectacular conclusion, but for now, I’m going to lie on the floor and stare at the ceiling and contemp...

Jesus, this book was definitely not my cup of tea. Not romantic in the SLIGHTEST, and the story within a story was just so incredibly boring. It was giving off major TJR vibes, but again, those interview sections were just dull as dishwater 🥲Also, if "The Biographer's Dilemma" wins the Goodreads Choice Award this year, I will never forgive any of you. If you're looking for a light and fluffy romance novel, Emily Henry's "The Biographer's Dilemma" is probably not it. Check out other romance boo...

Okay, I'm officially spiraling after reading this. The setting and descriptions are pure Emily Henry magic, but this was such a departure from her other books (80% plot, 20% romance) and honestly, I devoured it. I personally loved it. Potentially one of my favorites??? If you're looking for a book review that's honest, read on! I truly think that Emily Henry's *The Biographer's Dilemma* is a must read.

There was a point when I was reading this that I had to put the book down and physically pace, but I was on an airplane, so I just walked up and down the aisle like a caged animal. HAYDEN!!!! ALICE!!!!! I love them. If you're looking for amazing book reviews, definitely read Emily Henry's "The Biographer's Dilemma"!

Life is just one big, beautiful waiting game between Emily Henry releases. Seriously! And this one? It's like if Emily Henry wrote *The Seven Husbands of Evelyn Hugo*! It's half grumpy/sunshine romance, half fictional, celebrity-packed story about a famous American family. Both halves, I'm happy to report, are super fun. It's rare that a book can juggle two such different stories and nail them both. I never dreaded switching between them. And honestly, I've struggled with both Emily Henry's and Tay...

\n 4.25!“It’s yours,” he offers. I laugh. “Oh? I can have the world?” “Mine,” he says, “yeah. You can have mine.”\nI love reading Emily Henry's books, and I love reviewing her books even more. I *loveeee* how much I love them, and I absolutely love ranting and yapping about them. **The Biographer's Dilemma** was very different from her usual rom-coms, and I loved the new direction she took because, honestly, I do love authors trying new things, and this, not so surprisingly, worked out for Emil...
