Reading the diverse stories crafted by these talented authors was an absolute joy. Some were genuinely scary, others brought a tear to my eye. But every single one of them made me think. Huge congrats to all the contributors of "Synchronic: 13 Tales of Time Travel" by David Gatewood. If you're looking for thought-provoking science fiction short stories, this collection is a must-read.

As the revival of the short story gains momentum, the short story anthology is quickly becoming an exciting avenue for both emerging and established authors. Over the past six months, I’ve received several anthologies, and the quality has been consistently outstanding. *Synchronic: 13 Tales of Time Travel*, a new anthology from editor David Gatewood (who also brought us the excellent *From The Indie Side* anthology recently), is no exception. Its time travel theme provides an intriguing springb...

If you're anything like me and can't get enough of time travel stories, then David Gatewood's "Synchronic: 13 Tales of Time Travel" is an absolute must-read. Thirteen stories are packed into this collection, offering something for everyone. Three of my personal highlights were "Reset" by MeiLin Miranda, "Corrections" by Susan Kaye Quinn, and "Hereafter" by Samuel Peralta. I was particularly captivated by "Reset." The main character, Sandy, recounts the tale of her best friend Catherine to Janell...

A solid collection of time travel stories, with most being genuinely excellent. My absolute favorite was "The Dark Age" by Jason Gurley. Even though I read it several months back, it *still* gets me right in the feels. I can see it sticking with me for years to come. I also really enjoyed "The Laurasians" by Isaac Hooke; it totally gave me *Land of the Lost* vibes. I was half-expecting the Sleestaks to pop out at any moment! :DThe only story that didn't quite click for me was "Rock or Shell" by ...

As much as the title suggests its relationship to time, Synchronic: 13 Tales of Time Travel also has a hint of something else. My mind wandered to chronic health conditions that persist over time, or perhaps even a hint at an addiction. By the time I finished Synchronic: 13 Tales of Time Travel, I had developed my own addiction: a persistent desire to read stories about time travel. One after another, the 13 writers involved in the anthology created new and interesting tales of time travel witho...

I never rate my own books, but this is an exception. My story isn't the only one in this collection, and I'm giving *Synchronic: 13 Tales of Time Travel* five stars based solely on the strength of the other twelve writers. This is a fantastic time travel anthology!Usually, in an anthology, there's at least one dud—that story buried in the middle that you hope readers will just skim over. There isn't a single one in *Synchronic: 13 Tales of Time Travel*. Every story shines. From Michael Bunker's "...

As a huge science fiction fan, I can honestly say this is one of the best anthologies you could ever hope for. I was already familiar with some of the authors involved, but I thoroughly enjoyed every single story in this collection. I can see myself rereading David Gatewood's *Synchronic: 13 Tales of Time Travel* again and again for years to come.
Highly recommended. If you're looking for a great time travel book review, look no further!

You can find a video version of this review here: http://youtu.be/46KyqrEJsUcI'm a total sucker for time travel stories, so the moment I heard about David Gatewood's *Synchronic: 13 Tales of Time Travel*, I couldn't wait to dive in. You might think that an anthology of 13 stories all centered on the same topic would get a little repetitive, but that's definitely not the case here. Every story in *Synchronic: 13 Tales of Time Travel* has its own distinct tone and a unique spin on the concept of t...

I'm a sucker for time travel stories, and *Synchronic: 13 Tales of Time Travel* blew me away. I usually chip away at anthologies bit by bit, but I devoured this one in a single sitting. Each author tackles the concept from a totally fresh perspective, and their creativity was a constant source of surprise and delight. Of course, some stories hit harder than others – that's the nature of any collection, right? My personal MVPs were the ones by Jason Gurley, Ann Christy, Michael Bunker, MeiLin M...

I love science fiction, especially when it involves time travel. The idea is intriguing to so many people. I think virtually everyone has fantasized about it. Who wouldn’t want to witness great historical events or try to fix a past mistake? While time travel might not be possible (or is it?), we can still experience it through the many authors who explore it in their work. So, when I had the chance to read **Synchronic: 13 Tales of Time Travel**, a short story anthology all about time travel, I...
