I honestly didn't think it was possible, but Clive Cussler has outdone himself with this Dirk Pitt adventure, Shock Wave. What elevates this book above others in the series for me is seeing a different, more vulnerable side of Pitt. He actually falls head-over-heels in love and envisions spending his life with this woman, and that's what really sets Shock Wave apart.
