Wow, what a story! We're right there with our main character as her first love unexpectedly re-enters her life after a tragedy. You can feel her being pulled back to him, even though she's married and has a whole new life she's built. The way the story jumps between different timelines totally kept me hooked. The past is revealed bit by bit, and at the same time, the courtroom case in the present is slowly unraveling. I had so many questions buzzing in my head, I just couldn't put Shattered Groun...

I'm so sorry šŸ«£šŸ˜¶ā€šŸŒ«ļøThis is a VERY UNPOPULAR OPINION!!!!!! I didn't like *Shattered Ground* by Clare Leslie Hall at all, lmao. The audiobook was good, and I kept listening, so it did have that bingeable quality. But oh my goodness, I hated every character. Beth was insufferable, Gabriel even more so, and I didn't even care for the kid. Or Jimmy, or any of the parents. I don't know, everyone pissed me off except for Farmer Frank. Which, by the way, Frank, you deserve better, king. The twists neve...

This is it, my moment of reckoning, and in some ways I long for it. If characters make or break a story, then it's easy to see why Shattered Ground has stolen so many hearts.I didn't really know what to expect going in. When a book is labeled as both a love story and a thriller, with promises of secrets and love triangles and death, it can easily go off the rails in the hands of the wrong author. It can slip into a soap opera, with drama for drama's sake and emotions for emotion's sake. But t...

Marriage is scary, because what if they turn out like Beth? I can’t say I loved this book, but I also can’t say I hated it. I originally picked this up because *Shattered Ground* is currently receiving praise and reviews left and right, becoming a trendy read on this app. *Shattered Ground* by Clare Leslie Hall will come off as emotional, tear-jerking, and heartbreaking to some, but to me, it felt selfishly indulgent. I can see how and why people love it, but for me, it falls under those ā€œunsure...

I'm sitting here, metaphorically stranded on Outlier Island, trying to wrangle my scattered thoughts into something coherent about Shattered Ground.Let's get this out of the way: I don’t have anything *truly* negative to say about Shattered Ground by Clare Leslie Hall. At least, not in the way most people use "negative." It's simply one of those books that didn't fully resonate with me. You can't force a book to click, you know? Either it does, or it doesn't.That being said, I completely underst...

The tone. The plot. The storytelling. 5 stars. My heart shattered. Clare Leslie Hall’s *Shattered Ground* doesn't just tell a story; it orchestrates an experience. The emotional depth woven into every sentence is simply breathtaking. The book completely consumed me. I couldn't put it down. And when I reached the end, my heart shattered. If you're looking for profound book reviews that deliver an emotional punch, read *Shattered Ground*.

I think Clare Leslie Hall's *Shattered Ground* has already broken me into a million pieces—in the best possible way! It carries a melodramatic tone but is heartbreakingly powerful, deeply penetrating your emotions. If you're looking for emotional book reviews, this is it.At first glance, you might think it’s a typical, clichĆ©d love triangle: a grieving woman, still mourning the loss of her son and trying to hold on to her marriage with her kind-hearted husband, suddenly finds her ex—the love of ...

This is what reading is all about. It's been a long time since a book grabbed me like Clare Leslie Hall's "Shattered Ground" did. I was completely hooked from page one. Honestly, I was bummed when it ended. This is easily my favorite book of the year, and I'm telling everyone they need to add it to their TBR pile ASAP. I felt every emotion under the sun while reading. There was love, heartbreak, grief, anger, intensity, and just pure sadness. Seriously, keep some tissues close because the ending...
