Seven Up (Stephanie Plum #7) by Janet EvanovichSynopsis /All New Jersey bounty hunter Stephanie Plum has to do is bring in semi-retired bail jumper Eddie DeChooch. For an old man he's still got a knack for slipping out of sight--and raising hell. How else can Stephanie explain the bullet-riddled corpse in Eddie's garden? Who else would have a clue as to why two of Stephanie's friends suddenly vanished? For answers Stephanie has the devil to pay: her mentor, Ranger. The deal? He'll give Stephanie...

When I started reading my first Stephanie Plum book, *One for the Money*, I wasn't sure what to expect. But I quickly realized it was a total gem. As I read more and more of Janet Evanovich's books about the misfit bounty hunter, and as the characters grew and got even more interesting (Grandma Mazur is something else, isn't she? And Lulu is one hell of a woman!), they just kept getting better. I've lost count of how many times I've cried laughing while reading them.
I'm now on *Seven Up* and a...

This book hit me at exactly the right time, so yeah, I'm giving this sparkly little comedy mystery four stars because it totally took my mind off things and thoroughly entertained me. I'm almost tempted to give it five stars. I'd also like to send Janet Evanovich flowers. It's been a while since I last dove into this silly, fun series about Stephanie Plum, a New Jersey bounty hunter with plenty of pluck and some seriously questionable job skills. I'd stopped reading them a while back because the...

This is a humorous cozy mystery with chick-lit elements, and *Seven Up* by Janet Evanovich is the seventh installment in the Stephanie Plum series. I've enjoyed this entire series as audiobooks, and the narrator does a fantastic job bringing the story to life. All the books in this series are guaranteed to make you laugh out loud, and I honestly think the best way to experience them is through audiobooks. The characters are all so much fun and well-developed. I absolutely love this series. Steph...

*** 4.35 ***A buddy read with OhWell at BB&BThis series is hilarious! Hands down, one of the funniest I have ever read, and the humor just keeps going, even seven books in. By now, we're all well acquainted with Stephanie's family, and the consensus is that everyone needs a Grandma Mazur in their life, just for the laughs! Stephanie's mom is clearly going through "the change," but she's doing everything she can to deny it. And poor Mr. Plum is clinging to sanity by the skin of his teeth... T...

Okay, real talk: naked dudes are kinda weird-looking, right? All that dangly…stuff just hanging out there. But you can't help but look. It's like a car crash – you know it'll be a train wreck, but you gotta peek.
And this is supposed to be the mindset of a woman with two seriously hot guys chasing her? I'm not saying I disagree about the awkwardness of certain male anatomy, but Stephanie is seriously the least sexy character I've ever encountered. She’s probably the type of woman whose partner ...

Book Review4 out of 5 stars to Seven Up, the 7th book in the "Stephanie Plum" cozy mystery series, written in 2001 by Janet Evanovich. They just keep getting funnier! And in this one, Stephanie gets a marriage proposal from Joe. But Ranger will only help her with the crazy old bail jumper on the loose if she'll do anything he tells her to do. She kinda likes that. So do I. But not if she's gonna marry Joe. Come on! The antics and shenanigans are on high alert. Her family is way over the top and ...

Evanovich truly outdid herself with Seven Up! This book is packed with missing friends, death, a kidnapped Grandma Mazur, and… mud wrestling? Seriously! Stephanie Plum and Lula are my absolute heroes. They make me appreciate the diverse friendships I have in my own life. Even when things get a little crazy, I can always count on my loved ones to make me laugh. Stephanie: For the better part of my childhood, my professional aspirations were simple—I wanted to be an intergalactic princess. I didn’...

Bob the dog's still kicking. Mooner, that perpetually bummed-out stoner, is still in the picture—though his roommate seems to have vanished, and Mooner might just have to move in with Stephanie for protection when the bodies start piling up. Mooner’s roommate, by the way, goes by the name Dealer because, despite his, shall we say, dedication to supplying the neighborhood with your standard cocaine-derived goodies, he also provides the senior citizens with vast quantities of Metamucil at an unbel...

Okay, so I haven't reviewed the last few books in this series because I was traveling (got stuck in a snowstorm back east!) and only just got back to my computer today. I actually made *two* trips to Barnes & Noble while I was away because I couldn't wait to get my hands on more of Janet Evanovich's books. This series is seriously hilarious! Plus, they're super quick reads – perfect for killing time at the airport when you've got nothing else to do. I still can't decide who my favorite character...
