A fantastic series continues! The absolute *worst* part about diving into this series is the agonizing wait for the next installment. After devouring the first two audiobooks, I was practically vibrating with anticipation for the third to be released in audio format. I simply *had* to read "Romulus Buckle and the Luminiferous Aether" by Richard Ellis Preston Jr. immediately. It's packed with non-stop action, compelling characters, and a truly captivating story. If you're looking for exciting stea...

This is the third volume in this part of the series, and it takes Romulus and some of his crew underwater, away from their ominous pneumatic dirigible. Unfortunately for me, it got bogged down in politics and slow storytelling. The second book, and definitely the original story, were much better written than "Romulus Buckle and the Luminiferous Aether." I was very disappointed that the whole saga/story was left open-ended and unfinished at the end! As far as steampunk book reviews go, this one i...

I HATE SAD ENDINGS!Preston explained this is a long series, but THIS one ended sadly. Too many of OUR guys died. Too many were captured. I'll diligently START the next book, but I'm not really excited about it right now. If you're looking for a feel-good read, Romulus Buckle and the Luminiferous Aether might not be it, but if you enjoy steampunk adventures with emotional depth, give Richard Ellis Preston Jr.'s novel a shot. Just be prepared for some heartbreak! This is definitely a book review w...

Another thrilling adventure awaits in **Romulus Buckle and the Luminiferous Aether**!
This third installment of the "Pneumatic Zeppelin" series really kicks things up a notch with non-stop action. While the ending left me a tad disappointed, it definitely hints at a continuation of the story, which I'm eagerly anticipating. Fingers crossed for another book by Richard Ellis Preston Jr. soon! If you're looking for exciting **sci-fi book reviews**, this series is a must-read.

Ahoy, me mateys! Here be another adventure with Captain Romulus Buckle of the Pneumatic Zeppelin. Unfortunately, this one wasn't the high-flying, swashbuckling good time I was expecting. There were some good moments, but *Romulus Buckle and the Luminiferous Aether* didn't quite live up to what I've come to enjoy from this series. I don't want to go into too much detail, because I'll start ranting and end up spoiling something. So, please excuse the vague details.
Captain Buckle, first mate Sabr...

Originally reviewed at Bookwraiths. My rating is 3.5 stars.Romulus Buckle returns in the third installment of his serialized steampunk adventures, **Romulus Buckle and the Luminiferous Aether**!In the first two books (The City of the Founders and The Engines of War), the focus of the story was on the sky, specifically the silvery shape of the Pneumatic Zeppelin cutting through the clear blue, captained by its swashbuckling commander Romulus Buckle and his amazing crew. And as the beloved zeppelin...

Fascinating Third Book
Another strong addition to Richard Ellis Preston Jr.'s "Pneumatic Zeppelin" series. There's a bit less action compared to the previous two books, but we get a much deeper dive into the main characters' backstories and a truly imaginative glimpse into an underwater society. I'm definitely excited for the next book in this excellent series. If you are looking for a steampunk adventure, grab "Romulus Buckle and the Luminiferous Aether" today!
