Exciting!

I really enjoyed this fast-paced story, full of twists and turns! The plot was well-developed and the characters were fantastic. I'm looking forward to reading more books about the brothers. If you are looking for a great book review, check out Judy Ann Davis's *Red Fox Woman*!

Ewwwwwww. One of the four brothers is planning on marrying their younger sister, Betsy. Granted, she's an adopted sister, but she was adopted as an infant and raised with her four brothers. Everyone acts like this is totally normal. One of the other brothers even jokes about how sis should marry *him* instead. The girl is, I believe, about 18 and waiting for her "brother" Luke to come back and marry her. There are other flaws in the story, but the incest thing was just impossible to get past. Ju...

Judy Ann Davis's Red Fox Woman, the first installment in the Ashmore Brothers mystery series, plunges us into the untamed landscape of the 1868 Colorado Territory, the legendary Wild West. Julia Gast, a potter with a past, escapes Pennsylvania for the sanctuary of her Uncle Rusty's ranch. Her aspirations are bold: to vanish from the clutches of an unwanted fiancé back East, to build a thriving business crafting vibrant red clay pottery, and to breed horses. But soon after arriving, she discovers...

A truly wonderful and engaging read. I'm kicking myself for not reviewing this sooner and want to send a sincere apology to Judy Ann Davis. Life, as we all know, just gets in the way sometimes. I devoured "Red Fox Woman" in a single sitting, completely hooked on every hair-raising, page-turning adventure that Flint and Julia stumble into. This book has all the elements you could want in a historical romance. Well done, Judy Ann Davis! If you're looking for compelling historical romance books,...

It was an okay read, nothing groundbreaking. I found the beginning slow, but it picked up a bit of steam in the middle. There were a few twists and turns, and the central mystery of "Red Fox Woman" by Judy Ann Davis was eventually solved. However, I never quite grasped why the main character was so desperate to move out west. If you're looking for a light mystery book review, this might fit the bill, but don't expect too much.

This is Western romance at its finest. The characters in "Red Fox Woman" are so real, so down-to-earth. Judy Ann Davis sets the scene perfectly in a small Colorado town during the 1860s and 70s. The heroine is a striking redhead, nicknamed Red Fox Woman by a Native American, and a woman of many talents. The hero is rugged and handsome in his own way. The story kicks off with a dispute over land ownership and quickly escalates into cattle rustling and gunfights. Reading it, I felt like I was righ...

A Western romance set in Golden, Colorado Territory in 1868. Julia Gast flees Pennsylvania and an unwanted fiancé, heading west to the ranch her late uncle left her. The only snag? When she arrives, she isn't the only one with a deed to the property. This is a classic Western romance, with Julia raising horses to earn extra money. What sets her apart from many other romance heroines is that she's also a skilled potter. Oh, and she sports a glorious mane of bright red hair. "Red Fox Woman" by ...

FIERY RED MEETS STUBBORN & HOT!!! Red Fox Woman—a romantic Western story brimming with intrigue and gripping suspense. The story centers on Julia, a sultry, audacious, flaming redhead who wields a whip with the flair of Indiana Jones; Flint Ashmore, a gorgeous, buff, iron-willed cowboy, and ranch owner. HORRIFIC DANGER IS LURKING IN THE SHADOWS!!! The cast of characters is potent, impressive, and engaging; the banter is superb, the scene descriptions fabulously vivid, the storyline exhilarat...

This story really takes me back to the classic Westerns I devoured as a kid. It's got this charming, old-fashioned feel and a really engaging storyline. I was immediately invested in the main characters' lives, rooting for them every step of the way. The character development is exactly the kind I love. It's very much a "show, don't tell" approach. The characters evolve through their actions and how others perceive them, rather than the author just telling us what to think. It makes for a truly...
