My review of, Nowhere Boulevard Author: Katherine Black An absolute ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ read! Nowhere Boulevard by Katherine Black is an incredibly well-written, deeply emotional, and truly heartbreaking story. This book has a little bit of everything – fun, sadness, love, grief, pain, and suffering. It's a complete emotional rollercoaster! We experience everything through the diary entries of teenager Sarah Bell. At thirteen, she's happy and surrounded by friends. Then, she receives the devastating ...

Wow, what else can I even say? I've read a lot of great books by Katherine Black, but she has truly outdone herself with this one. It *has* to be the best book I’ve read this year. Seriously. The prologue kicks off with Sarah’s dad admitting he’s reading his daughter’s diary. We don’t know yet exactly who Sarah is or what she’s like, but from the very first chapter, we're plunged into a tragic journey. We get to know Sarah through her own words, slowly discovering exactly how her dad ended up rea...

Uniquely Wild and Utterly Gripping! From page one, young Sarah stole my heart in this wildly unique and utterly gripping novel. Katherine Black has a real gift for crafting characters that leap off the page and linger in your mind long after you've finished reading. Sarah's personality is just so endearing. Her story had me laughing, crying, and eagerly turning pages, completely engrossed and desperate to discover what would happen next. I was totally invested in sweet and amusing Sarah’s drama, ...

This is a well-written and educational book about dementia, a cruel disease that steals your loved ones away, piece by piece. I have two sisters with dementia, and it's incredibly hard watching this disease slowly erode their personalities and spirit. Katherine Black's *Nowhere Boulevard* offers a poignant look at this condition. Hopefully, a cure is found soon. For anyone looking for insightful book reviews on dementia, I highly recommend *Nowhere Boulevard*.

I was genuinely and pleasantly surprised by Katherine Black's *Nowhere Boulevard*, especially considering it only has 47 ratings. It definitely deserves more attention as a great read! The first chapter kicks off with Mr. Bell reading his 14-year-old daughter's diary. He reflects on how remarkable his daughter Sarah is, and how reading her diary revealed her perspective, much of which had been hidden from him. It absolutely broke his heart. Mr. Bell realized that Sarah had been forced to prematu...

Katherine Black's *Nowhere Boulevard: Where Crazy Comes Out To Play* will absolutely shatter your heart. Written as the journal of 13-year-old Sarah, it starts out so normal. She's a typical schoolgirl, dreaming of her first kiss, chatting with her friends about clothes, music, boys, and makeup. She worries about exams and all the usual stuff that fills a young girl's life. Then, her parents drop the bomb: her mom's pregnant! She's getting a baby brother or sister. Naturally, for a thirteen-year-...

All I can say is WOW, and *sniff*!This is the first book in ages that's had me reaching for the tissues. What a fantastic read. Looking at the world through the eyes of a 13-year-old, her thoughts and feelings toward life in general, her first boyfriend, her mother's pregnancy and behaviors thereafter... it's just powerful. With the slow realization that her mum has early onset dementia and doesn't love her anymore, her heart is broken, but she must keep going to help her mum and prepare for the...

Katherine Black's *Nowhere Boulevard* is one of those books I started reading fully prepared to abandon. I'm not usually a YA reader, but I grabbed this one based on a Facebook recommendation. The reviews were solid, and the premise was interesting, so I figured, why not? I cracked it open expecting to maybe skim a chapter or two. I didn't put it down until I'd devoured the entire thing. I don't need to recap the plot; you can get the gist from the book's description. What I will say, as someon...
