The fifth installment of the hilarious British time-travel series everyone's raving about! Series Read November 2024 onwardsSo, this is the 5th book in the series, and it's still a genuinely enjoyable and fun romp through history. As always, there are some serious adult themes as well as many light-hearted occasions and adventures. In this installment of St. Mary's mayhem, Max and her friends nearly get trapped in the Great Fire of London, almost disrupt the Spartans' great stand at Thermopylae, and try to track a ghost that keeps jumping off the roof of their building. All in all, anot...

You'd think this formula would get stale and predictable after four or five books. You couldn't be more mistaken... Jodi Taylor's *No Time Like the Past (Chronicles of St. Mary's, #5)* is as fresh and hilarious as the first time we met Max and the gang. If you're looking for a witty and engaging time travel series, look no further than the Chronicles of St. Mary's! This installment proves that Jodi Taylor still has plenty of historical mayhem up her sleeve. A must-read for fans of quirky British...

*** 4.35 ***I really enjoyed this one! I like the tone of St. Mary's 2.0 much better, mostly because there's no ridiculous manufactured drama between Max and Leon. The drama of their travels through time is enough to keep you interested, and since Jodi Taylor has proven she isn't afraid to kill off main characters, I'm constantly terrified that one of my favorites, Peterson or Markham, might get the axe... I've grown very attached to the staff at St. Mary's and I think I love them all, but we al...

I received a copy of this book in exchange for an honest review. Another St Mary’s adventure! This time, Jodi Taylor throws everything at us: a ghost, the Great Fire of London in 1666 with its devastating aftermath, an epic boat race, and even the Battle of Thermopylae. As usual, it’s a mad dash, a rollercoaster of an adventure, bouncing from one time period to another, and the pace *never* lets up. But honestly, at this point, I expect nothing less from the St Mary’s crew. I found myself a litt...

Love this series! Another great installment. Jodi Taylor's *No Time Like the Past* is just as brilliant as the rest of the Chronicles of St. Mary's. If you're looking for a fun time travel book review, look no further!

Rating: 4* of fiveI needed catharsis in the Aristotelian sense...κάθαρσις...after all the heavy reading and thinking I've been doing lately. Time to down tools and prepare the cup that cheers! And cheer it does, once again. Jodi Taylor's formula hasn't lost its charm. "No Time Like the Past" is fun, funny, gut-wrenching, and painful – exactly the recipe I needed for a good cleansing cry, a hearty laugh, and a wistful sigh. If you're looking for a great time travel book review, look no further. Jo...

Much like the previous installment, **No Time Like the Past** was more light-hearted. If you're looking for **book reviews** that highlight fun reads, this is it.We kick things off with a ghost story that morphs into a pretty interesting chase, complete with a self-fulfilling prophecy vibe, and then dive headfirst into trouble. We get to revisit some amazing places, including London during the Great Fire of 1666, Renaissance Florence, and even Thermopylae! And of course, what would a time-traveli...

I'll admit it: I've totally become a fanboy of the *Chronicles of St. Mary's* series. Few books manage to walk that tightrope between genuine sympathy for the historical dead and pure, unadulterated enjoyment of all the chaotic shenanigans so perfectly. :) That being said, *No Time Like the Past* is a bit less of an emotional rollercoaster than the previous installments, with one major, awesome exception. Something genuinely good happens. Like, seize-the-day, everything's-coming-up-roses good. ...

Seriously, don't read this book. LISTEN to it. There are very few times when the material and narrator are so perfectly aligned, but this is one of them. It's genuinely hard to imagine anyone other than Zara Ramm narrating Jodi Taylor's *No Time Like the Past*. Great story, seriously funny. I highly recommend it. *No Time Like the Past* probably won't change your life, but it *will* keep you grinning while you're listening. If you're looking for a lighthearted and entertaining audiobook, look no...

Seriously, can someone PLEASE get this adapted for TV? I absolutely love, love, LOVE this series! Man, I wish I worked at St. Mary's. Don’t they need someone who can play the ukulele or something? I minored in music, does that count? Pretty please??? Thank you, Jodi Taylor, for working your magic once again. "No Time Like the Past" is an absolute riot and a brilliant adventure! If you're looking for fun book reviews, definitely check out the Chronicles of St. Mary's.
