I'm Ali, and I write contemporary romcom novels about women in STEM and academia.ย I love cats, Nutella, and side ponytails. I'm also currently learning to crochet, so as you can tell I'm a super busy gal with an intense and exciting life!I only use Goodreads as a reader, to review and hype books that I've loved (many o...

Normally, I can't stand it when male love interests act all cold and uncaring towards the main character, but damn it, Ali Hazelwood pulls it off and gets me hooked once again with "Mate: A Bride Novel"! This is a great book, and I consider it one of the best romance book reviews I've read this year.

Howling at the moon and ripping my skin off like Iโm going into heat. This book triggered a primal instinct within me! I think Iโm gonna jump off a cliff and crack my head open for fun! ๐บ๐
You come up to me and you mention *Mate: A Bride Novel* and youโre never gonna escape the conversation that Iโm about to put you in. I literally faltered reading this book.
It always hits me strongest when secret pining, longing, and yearning from the mmc is involved because โhe easily resigned himself to ...

4.5 stars! Maybe even a full 5 ๐ค I'm gonna have to mull over the final rating, but I LOVED **Mate: A Bride Novel**!! It felt like my absolute perfect romance! It's got...1. A little mystery plot. Serena's an orphan trying to figure out who her parents were and how they fit into the world's politics. I LOVE it when a romance has a touch of mystery!2. Awesome fantasy vibes, but the romance stays front and center. We're talking werewolves, vampires, fantasy politics, a bit of world history, the wh...

Devoured this book. Though I wasnโt a fan of the terms "fuckwaffle" and "jizzmuffin," etc. in Ali Hazelwood's *Mate: A Bride Novel*. Definitely a guilty pleasure read!

"He would die for her, and he would kill for her. More importantly, he will live for her. She'll be the purpose driving every second of his every day." Well, that was unexpectedly pleasant and totally worth reading. I was a little wary at first, seeing as Ali Hazelwood's books are usually a miss for me, but her paranormal stuff seems to be hitting the spot way more than her usual STEM romances. I actually found this one even better than Bride, which I also loved. The writing feels more balanced...

I devoured Mate: A Bride Novel and left no crumbs!! These Ali Hazelwood books feel like drugs to me, I'm obsessed, how could I knot be? It was more plot heavy than I was expecting, which was amazing, and the tension, the angst and the banter were absolutely amazing!! If you are looking for a great romance book review, look no further!Serena was hilarious and determined and infuriatingly secretive, but I get that part. I would be too honestly. She always stood her ground and considering in how ma...

Me, howling at the moon with *feelings*Ali said, 'Actually, edging and incredibly sticky, sweaty sex is hot?' And I said, 'It smells like a sizzling fajita skillet in the boudoir? Bet.'I enjoyed *Mate: A Bride Novel*, though I didn't enjoy it quite as much as *Bride*. I wanted a leeeeettle more relationship development beyond 'I am so horny I want to rip my skin off when you're near, my sweet knot-taking girl.'But even with that minor complaint, I'm not mad. I spent the day leisurely reading *Ma...

3.75 stars!โHer laughter adjusts the spin of his atoms.โ
Okay, *Mate: A Bride Novel*, where do I even start ๐ง
This was a seriously fun book, and I'm so glad I'm finally getting back into Ali Hazelwood's books because I really missed that feeling. It had the perfect amount of cringe, the perfect amount of quirky, everything you'd expect from an omegaverse, but that's also where my issues come in ๐ญ and honestly, I only had three problems with *Mate: A Bride Novel*, two were about the book ...

God gave me eyes and ears, and I promptly betrayed Him by using them on Ali Hazelwood's *Mate: A Bride Novel*. I have seen and heard too much.

Okay, I'm definitely going against the grain here, but "Mate: A Bride Novel" just didn't click with me. I won't bore you with all the details, but my biggest problem was simply... boredom. I adored "Bride" and went in expecting to love this one just as much, but something felt off.I'm usually all in for dual timelines, but in "Mate: A Bride Novel"? It felt pointless and only succeeded in irritating me. It added absolutely nothing to the story. There were a few funny moments sprinkled throughout, ...
