Not quite what I anticipated. I dove into Luna Park (The Time Corps Chronicles, #3) expecting to further explore the Time Corps' adventures across the vast multiverse. Instead, Heather Blackwood gives us a deeper dive into a smaller cluster of worlds, and fleshes out the backstories of characters who previously played minor roles. It's okay so far – I'm curious to see where the next book in the series takes us. A decent addition for fans of time travel books, but not the interdimensional romp I ...

An old amusement park: something about it just feels…off. But what could possibly be scary about it?Astrid's home life is a nightmare. She lives with a mother who constantly abuses her. Her only hope is to graduate, save enough money, and escape to New York for college. Astrid and her cousin, Elliot, are just two kids trying to survive, working long hours at Luna Park (The Time Corps Chronicles, #3).What's the deal with Yukiko and something stealing her spirit ball? What the heck even *is* a spi...

Wow. This is definitely something different and fresh compared to the first two books in the series, *Luna Park (The Time Corps Chronicles, #3)* by Heather Blackwood. I was a little worried I wouldn't enjoy this one as much once I realized it had new characters. Plus, I wasn't used to feeling so sad while reading this series. It took me about half the book to really get hooked. *Luna Park* had way more twists and action than the others, which was a welcome change. Once the story really got g...

Okay, "Luna Park (The Time Corps Chronicles, #3)" by Heather Blackwood definitely threw me for a loop. I went in expecting a straight continuation of Seamus, Harriet, Felecia, and Neil's story from the first two books. And while they *are* in it, they're more like supporting characters this time around. Instead, we get a deep dive into Elliot, that minor character from "Cat's Paw", and his cousin, Astrid. Honestly, this installment is all about the nitty-gritty of time travel and hopping betwe...

I absolutely did not see this coming. I was geared up for more stories about Seamus and Felicia trying to get to her version of L.A., or new escapades for Hazel, Neil, and their monkey-powered drakkar. And while they’re *there*, they're mostly on the periphery. Honestly? I didn't mind one bit. There are moments in Heather Blackwood's *Luna Park (The Time Corps Chronicles, #3)* that put me in mind of Neil Gaiman's *Neverwhere* or *American Gods*. And I kept getting visual flashes of Hayao Miyazak...

It was alright. My biggest issue isn't even the introduction of new characters in this installment; it's the way Heather Blackwood introduced entirely new worlds, and did it so rapidly that I barely had time to understand them before Astrid, this book's main character, suddenly became an expert on these new worlds within a matter of days. I didn't feel that aspect was developed sufficiently, and these characters and new worlds feel completely disconnected from the worlds established in the first...

Wow, I never expected **Luna Park (The Time Corps Chronicles, #3)** when I started this series. The Time Corps series has transformed over the course of the three novels. *Clockwork Cathedral* started us out in the 1800s of an alternate universe. One that while different, was relatively easy to mistake for our own. Book two took us through a piratical hunt through a couple of new universes just as equally similar and equally different. It also began to pull back the covers of the Time Corp...

This is so different from the first book in the series. A stark contrast to the initial installment.

I'm with the other reviewers who think *Luna Park* probably should have kicked off this series. It barely connects to the first two books, and Heather Blackwood seriously cranks up the complexity of the universe. We're talking Seelie and Unseelie courts *on top* of the multiple Earths we already knew about (and still no fairies to be seen!).Taken on its own, *Luna Park* is a pretty impressive novel with a gripping story. But as part of the Time Corps series, it feels…off. If you're diving in exp...
