Not to toot my own horn, but I didn't need Chuck Tingle to tell me that statistics and probability calculations belong in a horror novel. *flashback to my school years and my eternally awful math grades* Reading Chuck Tingle's *Lucky Day* just confirms it. If you're looking for a weird book review, let me tell you, the very concept of probability sends shivers down my spine. Forget ghosts and goblins; give me a binomial distribution and I'll be hiding under the covers. *Lucky Day* by Chuck Tingl...

☆☆☆☆Lucky Day by Chuck Tingle is a wildly inventive and clever story that kept me on my toes from start to finish. Tingle has such a unique way of combining unexpected gore with a storyline that takes twists and turns you don’t see coming. I particularly appreciated the originality of the plot, which stands out in the horror genre for its unpredictability and dark humor. Looking for a unique horror book review? Look no further. The gory elements were definitely over the top, but in a way that wor...

⭐️ ⭐️ ⭐️ ⭐️ 1/2I love a good "oh, shit" moment, something that leaps from the shadows to shatter your peace. Something that bursts from behind a literary wall to send your heart hammering to a chaotic beat. Let's just say that *Lucky Day* has one of the best of those moments I've ever experienced. It blindsides you and completely rocks your world. You genuinely won't see where Chuck Tingle is taking this story. Trust me on this one. This is an unearthly, feverish escapade that just doesn't let up...

A HUGE thank you to Netgalley & Macmillan Audio for an advanced copy of Lucky Day! Oh my holy sky man!! 🫢I'm not quite sure what I just read but all I know is I had one hell of a good time & I want to do it again! *Jumps up & down repeatedly like an obnoxious child.* Honestly, starting Netgalley has been the best decision I've made for myself this year! The amount of amazing authors I've exposed myself to in such a short time has been incredible! And has quite frankly changed my life. Chuck Tin...

Chuck Tingle is one of the best horror writers out there, and honestly, one of the best writers, period. Like his other books, the plot of *Lucky Day* is completely original, mixing awesome horror with sci-fi elements. There are definitely some X-Files vibes, and it totally works.I won't go into specifics to avoid spoilers, but let me tell you, it was a wild ride from start to finish. And just like in *Bury Your Gays* and *Camp Damascus*, the protagonist in *Lucky Day* is complex, layered, and w...

Alright, buckle up, buttercups! This is my new favorite Chuck Tingle book, signed, a bisexual who's had days where, yeah, existing feels optional. I freaking *loved* **Lucky Day** by Chuck Tingle. Not only did it drag me kicking and screaming out of my reading slump, but it was *exactly* the book I needed right now. Took me about three-quarters of the way through to fully grasp what was going on, but honestly? I was completely on board for the ride. Okay, so what if reality suddenly goes sidew...

Another absolutely solid horror novel from Chuck Tingle, who has rapidly become one of my favorite horror authors in the last few years. *Lucky Day* is his third full horror novel, and much like *Camp Damascus* and *Bury Your Gays*, *Lucky Day* finds Chuck tackling another aspect of queer identity in the midst of absurd horror. This time, we're tackling bi-erasure tied in with existential dread! What's the point in living life when you think that nothing, including your own identity and the thi...
