We’ve all heard the story of the Four Horsemen. Harbingers of the apocalypse. Destruction personified. And, let’s be honest, ridiculously hot. But imagine my surprise when I discover everything I’ve ever been told is a lie. Let’s rewind a bit. My name is Ruby Morningstar. I run a tattoo parlor in...

I love to write reviews... sometimes wordy, long, passionate reviews. But **Lucifer's Daughter (Queen of the Damned, #1)** by Kel Carpenter needs minimal review, because well, it's just FANTASTIC. This **paranormal romance review** almost writes itself!Raccoon owning Succubus✔️Sexy versions of the Four Horsemen✔️Witty Banter✔️Touch Her and You Die Vibes ✔️Anticipation that will drive you to drink ✔️ Get this old lady a cold glass of Lemonade, boys!I really feel like I need not say more, but...If ...

This book is free on Amazon (Canada) today (03/26/2024). 🙂✅ Reverse-harem (very mild)✅ Sexual tension✅ Pace✅🆗 Action🆗 Characters🆗 Plot 2.5 starsLucifer's Daughter (Queen of the Damned, #1) by Kel Carpenter is not a bad book, but I think it's too short for me to truly appreciate it. It was entertaining though, and it's a quick read, so there's that. Not much happens in this urban fantasy review besides Ruby meeting the Four Horsemen of the Apocalypse and learning she is Lucifer's daughter. Si...

I actually laughed out loud at Kel Carpenter's Lucifer's Daughter (Queen of the Damned, #1). This paranormal romance satisfied the adult in me. It was very, very entertaining!!

This urban fantasy review of Kel Carpenter's Lucifer's Daughter (Queen of the Damned, #1) encapsulates every tired, cliched urban fantasy trope rolled up together in a very thin plot.ETA: I find I have more to say:-cardboard love interests who have literally no other characterization but smirk, glare, and brood (seriously, take smirking and brooding away from your average paranormal/romance authors, and there goes like 80% of their characterization of the love interests). One guy is vaguely defi...

I want a pet raccoon. For now, my chubby cats and fluffy dogs will do, I guess. ANYWAY. Pleasantly surprised by Kel Carpenter's **Lucifer's Daughter (Queen of the Damned, #1)**. A little slow of a start? Yes, but I liked that. This book, a fantastic **reverse harem fantasy** read, felt completely introductory to the shit that’s about to go down. So I’m hella excited for book two.FINALLY. A reverse harem that’s not like the others where everyone falls in love and trust in .000002 seconds. These c...

2.5I really dislike some of the men in the harem in Kel Carpenter's Lucifer's Daughter (Queen of the Damned, #1). The men/demons/gods are thousands of years old and the h is 23. Not only is there a huge age gap but the h thinks she is half-human and therefore a weak demon. So, there is a perceived power gap.The h is drugged up and because of the drugs she is in agony if she doesn't find release (such a trope). The man with her, I think it was Death, decides to get her off because he didn't want ...

Last year was my year for novelizations. This one, though, might just be my year for reverse harem and paranormal romance. This genre is really growing on me.
We’ve all heard the story of the four horsemen. Harbingers of the apocalypse. Destruction given form. Four of the sexiest—wait no—forget that. You get my point. So imagine my surprise when I find out everything I’ve ever been told, is a lie. But we’re getting ahead of ourselves here. Let’s start from the beginning. My name is Ruby Mornin...

Rating: 3 starsI wouldn't say Lucifer's Daughter (Queen of the Damned, #1) by Kel Carpenter was great, but it was definitely entertaining. This paranormal romance read had its moments.- Her pet racoon, Bandit, is probably the cutest thing ever.- I didn't particularly like any of the characters—whether Ruby or her guys—but I didn't hate them either.- The book felt even shorter than it was, and I didn't have time to really appreciate its depth.- Apocalypse, boom, boom, please destroy everything!TW...

Note to readers:
This is an Adult Urban Fantasy/Paranormal Romance Reverse Harem series, much like Kel Carpenter's captivating debut, Lucifer's Daughter (Queen of the Damned, #1). Be warned, it features explicit sexual situations, some dark content, an abundance of laughs and F-bombs, and even a crazy raccoon. If you're okay with all these things, then this urban fantasy romance series is definitely for you!
If you're not... well, you probably should skip this one.
