I grew up in Texas in the seventies, and although I really wanted to go into writing and film from an early age, my parents (Cuban-American) were NOT on board. They believed there were only three acceptable career paths for a male child: doctor, lawyer, and architect. After a disastrous first year of college pre-Med (too...

8.5/10 ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ Final book in the "An Eye for an Eye" trilogy. J.K. Franko maintains the same style seen in the previous two books, including the fast-paced prose that keeps you moving and the short chapters. Plus, there are solid arguments for the events that make up this story and a consistency that keeps you hooked.A recurring and satisfying element in all three books is the introduction of a subplot that seems unrelated to the main story until the very last pages. That's where everything comes ...

That's the end of this series for now. I still think it would have been better as one big book instead of three parts. In this installment of Life for Life, we go to court, and apart from a couple of twists (only one of which is good), we have our protagonist...
That said, there's plenty of intrigue and tension, so it's a quick read. It teases a fourth book, which I'll definitely be reading. If you're looking for thriller book reviews, J.K. Franko's Life for Life series is worth checking out.

In *Life for Life*, book three in the Talion Series, author J.K. Franko takes the reader behind the scenes of a riveting crime thriller. The characters continue down the slippery slope of pursuing the Law of Talion, seeking revenge for family tragedies, all while dodging getting caught for their actions. In this installment of the series, J.K. Franko poses some tough questions: What would you do if someone threatened your family? How far would you go for revenge? Can you stop, or is the thirst ...

I thought I knew what to expect: confessions, courtroom showdowns, and tying up loose ends in book three of the Talion series. Boy, was I wrong!J.K. Franko throws in new characters, even more murders, and a plot twist so sneaky it made me sit up and grin! I had to reread the scene three times, shaking my head in disbelief. I was ready for something, sure, but nothing even remotely close to what actually happened! Well played, Mr. Franko! Kudos! As the police painstakingly build their case against...

Seriously, don't even blink while you're reading this book, or you'll miss something crucial! If I had to sum up my experience reading J.K. Franko's Life for Life in a single word, it would be "explosive." Absolutely no one is safe, and everyone's a suspect. The story is incredibly complex and even a bit chaotic, but somehow Franko manages to pull all the threads together. When you finally step back, you see a perfectly formed, complete picture. This is a thriller that truly delivers.Franko does...

If you're a John Grisham fan, J.K. Franko is about to become your new favorite author. *Life for Life* has all the twists and turns you've come to expect from the series, but it really kicks things up a notch. The pace is even faster than book two – I devoured it in a single night. By the end, I felt completely satisfied, but – you know how it goes – I didn't want it to be over! I was left wanting just a little bit more, and even that desire was fulfilled (you'll understand what I mean when you ...

What a fantastic conclusion to the first three books in this new series. *Eye for Eye* was a real rollercoaster, starting slowly before plunging downhill with twists and turns galore. *Tooth for Tooth* surprisingly upped the pace even more while keeping those twists coming thick and fast. I was skeptical that *Life for Life* could maintain that momentum, but by that point, I was totally invested. Well, I'll be! *Life for Life* absolutely delivered! It even threw a few more unexpected plot twists...
