Mannino is an expert at pitting good against evil. I could not put "Leon the Lion: A Jack's Reign Story" down as it kept me turning pages until the end. This Julie Mannino book is a must-read! Looking for a great fantasy book review? Look no further!

Knights held sway from the 8th to the 16th century, so I'm guessing that's when *Leon the Lion: A Jack's Reign Story* is set. There's a quick mention of arthritis that feels a bit out of place historically, but hey, fiction lets you bend the rules, and that's what makes writing and reading so enjoyable. The story itself is packed with battle scenes and loads of family drama. Karma's a real you-know-what!When you dive into *Leon the Lion: A Jack's Reign Story*, remember this isn't happening today...

A great read! This is the first book I've read from Julie Mannino, and it was well worth the read. The book gives you a great insight into Leon, the King's second son in *Leon the Lion: A Jack's Reign Story*, and he'll do anything to get what he wants. He's quite the character! The pacing of *Leon the Lion: A Jack's Reign Story* is really good, but I did find myself losing interest in parts. However, that didn't take anything away from the story overall. It's a quick and fun read.Definitely worth ...

A great readI thoroughly enjoyed this one! This book really helps you understand Prince Leon better and gives you insight into why he acts the way he does. He's a cunning, intelligent warrior with the looks, bravado, and arrogance to match. One thing many soon learn, especially his own family, is that you never cross Leon the Lion: A Jack's Reign Story unscathed. He's ruthless but also has his own, barely-there moral code, which makes reading about Leon the Lion: A Jack's Reign Story by Julie Ma...

A truly captivating story! "Leon the Lion: A Jack's Reign Story" was my introduction to Julie Mannino's work, and I'm already planning to dive into her other two books. I have absolutely no criticisms regarding the plot, the characters, or Julie Mannino's writing style itself. I genuinely loved this book. If you're looking for engaging children's book reviews, definitely check this one out!

This marks my first venture into the realm of alternative earth novels, and it was a delightful surprise. Imagine knights lounging around, puffing on cigars, yet still engaging in knightly pursuits – primarily sex and war – in a late medieval/renaissance Europe setting. The story follows Prince Leon's journey into manhood. We're introduced to him as a child, getting a glimpse of the man he'll become: somewhat selfish, arrogant, and a natural-born warrior. He feels utterly betrayed when his older...

"Leon the Lion: A Jack's Reign Story" is a companion novel that will completely captivate you, keeping you glued to the pages until you reach the very end, leaving you craving more. I was absolutely enthralled by this one. I've really come to appreciate Julie Mannino's work, so "Leon the Lion" was in no way a disappointment. It delivered! This is a powerful standalone story, and in my opinion, it should be read before Mannino's "Jack's Day" and "Chloe's Purpose". If you're anything like me, you w...

Wow!

Julie Mannino's stories are well-written and very interesting.
However, I didn't like how Baron Clonessy died; he didn't get a chance to fight his nemesis.
Apart from that, Stefan deserves the pain, knowing Adelaide is cheating.
This is without a doubt an interesting and unpredictable story. If you're looking for exciting children's books, give "Leon the Lion: A Jack's Reign Story" a try!
I really give the author a round of applause. This is a great read for kids!

FabulousThis is a fabulous prequel that enriches the previous two books. In "Leon the Lion: A Jack's Reign Story", we finally understand what makes Leon so villainous. Let me pose a question... what single thing could drive two brothers to such animosity, far beyond simple sibling rivalry? The answer lies within these pages. But there's even more depth to the story than that! "Leon the Lion: A Jack's Reign Story" by Julie Mannino completely captivated me; I devoured it in one sitting (thankfully...

Leon the Lion lives in a world where he can be any kind of royal he wants; he chooses to be vengeful and a womanizer, so he's not exactly a saint. We follow him as he chops off a few heads and gets mixed up in wars, mostly not his fault. His brother steals his girlfriend right off the bat, and maybe that messes with his head, but in the end, he gets his revenge by doing absolutely nothing, letting his brother rot with a woman who clearly has terrible taste. The story moves at a good clip, it's w...
