I'm torn between embracing my inner nerd and indulging my love for pop culture. Michael Crichton's Jurassic Park is incredibly entertaining and impactful, even though the scientific inaccuracies did bug me a bit. Dinosaurs hold a special place in my heart, just like they do for most people around the world. Steven Spielberg's movie sparked a lot of interest and inspired kids to pursue paleontology. While Jurassic Park isn't my favorite Spielberg film (that would be Jaws), I still enjoy it. This ...

4.5 ❤️ Michael Crichton's *Jurassic Park* is simply a classic. Pure, unadulterated suspense from start to finish. If you're looking for a thrilling read, especially something in the science fiction or adventure genres, then this book is an absolute must-read. The science is fascinating (even if a bit dated now), the characters are compelling, and the dinosaurs... well, they're terrifyingly real on the page. A truly captivating page-turner!

The Movie triumphs over the book. "But scientific power is like inherited wealth: attained without discipline. You read what others have done, and you take the next step. You can do it very young. You can make progress very fast. And because you can stand on the shoulders of giants, you can accomplish something quickly. You don’t even know exactly what you have done, but already you have reported it, patented it, and sold it."Malcolm: The movie wins for Ian, Jeff Goldblum's performance is perfec...

The main takeaway from *Jurassic Park* by Michael Crichton: kids are annoying and will get you killed. Okay, I'm exaggerating a little, but have you ever noticed how frustrating child characters can be during a crisis? I'm sure they'd be just as bad during the apocalypse or when being hunted by dinosaurs, but I wanted to chuck my phone at the wall a few times while reading *Jurassic Park*. That being said, I now have a new, completely rational phobia: being eaten alive by a dinosaur. Thank...

“Life breaks free. Life expands to new territories. Painfully, perhaps even dangerously. But life finds a way.” **Jurassic Park** has all the major problems of a theme park, a zoo...and genetically altered prehistoric animals. That's right - the dinosaurs are back from the dead and nothing - **I repeat nothing** - could go wrong...right? **Ha.** As my favorite character, Ian Malcom would say, "All major changes are like death. You can't see to the other side until you are there." Though, c...

Get ready for some serious dinosaur action!Techno thrill me harder! This is definitely one of Michael Crichton's best novels. His work could be hit or miss, but this one helped lay the groundwork for the whole sci-fi thriller, aka techno-thriller, genre. The mainstream adaptations and all the great new authors who followed in his footsteps prove it!Feels fictional, but…Before the first hybrids, most novels in this genre were pure fantasy or sci-fi with social commentary. Then came the interdiscip...

Alright, let's get straight to it. *Jurassic Park*, the book by Michael Crichton, is truly one-of-a-kind, despite a few clumsy imitations. What sets it apart from the shark, snake, or even zombie books out there is that dinosaurs come in so many shapes and sizes. This means the ways the characters meet their ends are just as varied – a real treat for any book review enthusiast looking for suspense! Michael Crichton really nails the ending with inspired flair and seasoned cunning. He understands...

Hey, did y'all know they made a movie out of this one?

description So, anyone else remember that little flick called *Jurassic Park*? Michael Crichton's *Jurassic Park*… yeah, they turned it into a *slightly* successful film. Just thought I'd mention it in case you were living under a rock. Seriously though, if you're looking for thrilling book reviews and haven't read *Jurassic Park*, drop everything and grab a copy. You won't regret it.

This is one of my favorite books of all time!!! I was so hyped back then, 20 years ago, about the movie (apart from that controversial scene portraying San José, Costa Rica with a beach in the middle of it). Seriously. I'm from Costa Rica, and I live right in San José, and we definitely don't have a beach anywhere near us.I'm sure Spielberg wouldn't make that kind of mistake if he needed to portray Paris, France, but a capital city in a third-world country? Who cares?Well, I do, because I'm f...
