Great read

I really enjoyed this one. I'll admit, I had my doubts when I saw it labeled as a romance. The blurb and the cover didn’t exactly scream 'romance novel' to me. But I'm happy to say I was wrong! I loved the well-balanced mix of sibling affection, strong friendships, suspenseful moments, and, of course, a sweet love story. If you're looking for a good book review, I highly recommend Julie Mannino's *Jack's Day*!

Right from the start, I was completely hooked on Jack's Day. I felt a real connection to each character, and honestly, I even got mad at Jacknell for the way he treated Fiona and the rest of the family. I especially loved how Fiona and Charlotte met; it really showcased the power of women supporting women. The story had me gripped from beginning to end. Julie Mannino has such a beautiful and engaging writing style that completely draws you in and keeps you captivated until the very last page. De...

This one took me a bit to get through, but it was an absolute delight from start to finish. Jack, and all his siblings, each played such a vital role in the story of *Jack's Day*. But the real heart of it is Jack losing his brother! I'm a sucker for stories set in kingdoms, especially when there's plenty of backstabbing and secrets to uncover along the way. Julie Mannino's writing was excellent, and the plot was easy to follow. I don't want to give too much away, but if you're a fan of fantasy b...

Wow, I was hooked on Julie Mannino's *Jack's Day* from the very beginning and all the way to the end! It's about Jack, his sister Fiona, and his love interest, Charlotte. Jack's a bit of a womanizer until Charlotte really captures his heart. Then a war starts with the kingdom next door when Caleb tries to hurt Princess Fiona. There are some twists and turns that really amp up the intrigue. And the action scenes? Amazing.I really liked how North America is used as the setting, but it's changed an...

Gripping storylineAn action-packed adventure book that keeps the reader intrigued from the very first page. Charlotte, a strong female character, escapes from a brothel and unexpectedly crosses paths with Princess Fiona, who is betrothed to a royal prince.Fiona's brother, Jack, refuses to let his sister marry such an abusive brute. As if that weren't enough, Jack also realizes he's falling in love with Charlotte. But everything changes when war breaks out with the neighboring country. How Jack n...

Loved the storyJacknell rules over the land of Camaday with his brother Jack and sisters Fiona and Amelia by his side. Jack is a bit of a carefree womanizer until he meets Charlotte and soon realizes he's in love. However, after a fortune teller tells them of a bleak future, and a war starts with the neighboring country, that love has to be put on hold as Jacknell and Jack have to take their army to fight. Jacknell is a cruel king, though, and after he is killed, Jack has to step up to rule the ...

I really enjoy it when a story has obvious heroes (male and female) and equally obvious villains. In Julie Mannino's *Jack's Day*, kingdoms are at war, and the royal family deals with the very real possibility of forced marriages. It's almost better to just hope the men head off with their swords and armor and settle things once and for all. Which, for the most part, they do. *Jack's Day* is an interesting read and the plot moves along at a good pace. A great choice if you're looking for fantasy...

Julie Mannino's *Jack's Day* is a total page-turner, a real action-packed adventure that throws you right into the thick of it. The characters are complex and relatable, battling their own demons while somehow managing to find love amidst the chaos. Jack's leadership, built on integrity and genuine compassion rather than brutal force, really sets the tone as his family navigates a darkness that threatens to swallow their entire kingdom. Mannino has absolutely nailed it with this novel, leaving y...
