Okay, I could just say, go read my review for *Sahara*, but that wouldn't be fair to *Inca Gold (Dirk Pitt Adventure)* by Clive Cussler, which I genuinely enjoyed. That being said, if you *do* read my *Sahara* review, you'll see that I mentioned these books revolve around a central premise, with different characters, situations, and dilemmas added each time. That doesn't make them bad at all! If you enjoy this type of almost non-violent action-adventure, then there aren't many better writers tha...

One of the things I love most about Clive Cussler is that he uses real elements in his stories, and throughout the reading experience, I love researching the topics he touches on. In Inca Gold (Dirk Pitt Adventure), I discovered a ton of interesting things about Peruvian cultures. It's a thrilling adventure book that also teaches you something!I was only left with one small question: is the tomb of Patty Lou Cutting that he mentions real? I couldn't find any information about it 🤔. Definitely a...

If you're looking for a story that's basically an action movie starring Bruce Willis, then *Inca Gold (Dirk Pitt Adventure)* won't disappoint. It's exactly that kind of story. Good entertainment, although I didn't love absolutely everything about it.
This isn't my first Dirk Pitt adventure. I've read *Atlantis Found* before, so I have something to compare it to. I don't know why, but I think I preferred Pitt in *Atlantis Found*; he seemed to have more of his peculiar charm in that one. That's n...

Inca Gold (Dirk Pitt Adventure) is the twelfth book in the Dirk Pitt series by Clive Cussler, and it's the book that hooked me on the Grand Master of Adventure himself. Each book in this series stands alone, so you can jump in anywhere without worrying about the order. The series follows Dirk Pitt, a marine engineer with a knack for stumbling into mysteries, and an even greater knack for narrowly escaping death every time. Honestly, Clive Cussler's Dirk Pitt is an icon.In Inca Gold (Dirk Pitt Ad...

Inca treasure, priceless, hidden on an island in the beautiful Sea of Cortez for 500 years, worth one billion American dollars... only Clive Cussler would have the audacity to make this seem possible, if not probable. As always, it has become his trademark in Dirk Pitt novels: both the luckiest human on Earth and the unluckiest. We first travel back in time to begin the plot; during a civil war, two rival brothers fight for the throne of the Inca Empire. One, to keep the other from capturing the...

Yep, another Dirk Pitt adventure. Pitt just happens to be nearby when two archaeologists in Peru stop surfacing from an old, deep well where they're diving for an archaeological dig. This action throws a ruthless adversary off balance, and a real Dirk Pitt story unfolds. He gets entangled in the nets of a gang of violent art smugglers who are on the trail of the legendary treasures of the Incas. If you're after a thrilling adventure, Clive Cussler's *Inca Gold (Dirk Pitt Adventure)* delivers!

5. 5-6/10
Some positives, some negatives to this one, but mostly negatives. I've read a Clive Cussler novel before, *Sahara*, and I don't remember it grating as much as *Inca Gold (Dirk Pitt Adventure)*. At times, getting through this felt like a chore, but at other times, I was knocking the pages back.
The positives:
The long opening scene (about 100+ pages) was a great introduction to the characters. It was laid out really well and was an easy read with action coming thick and fast.
The p...

I bought some cacti the other day and repotted them near the chili plants. The prickly, phallic-looking one I named Dirk Pitt. Everyone should have a named cactus. Since this Pitt adventure in *Inca Gold (Dirk Pitt Adventure)* takes place in Mexico and Pitt survives all odds (like surely my cactus will), I felt it an honor justly deserved. Is this the novel where Dirk and Al accidentally have sex with each other while thrusting in tandem at a Nogales brothel? No, no, that comes later. This is th...

This was my first Clive Cussler book, and I was hooked within the first 10 pages. *Inca Gold (Dirk Pitt Adventure)* delivers high adventure and non-stop action. A fantastic thrill ride and a great starting point if you're looking for Clive Cussler books to dive into. Definitely a page-turner!

Anything by Clive Cussler is always entertaining, but *Inca Gold (Dirk Pitt Adventure)* is my absolute favorite. A word of warning though: DO NOT read any Clive Cussler books that he co-wrote with his son, Dirk Cussler, because they tend to be pretty boring. The books he's co-written with Paul Kemporas, on the other hand, are usually pretty good. For fans looking for exciting adventure novels, *Inca Gold (Dirk Pitt Adventure)* by Clive Cussler is a must-read!
