On June 30th, 1908, a colossal explosion rocked Tunguska, Siberia – the Tunguska event. Caused by a meteorite or comet, it unleashed energy equivalent to 185 Hiroshima bombs. The object, estimated at 120 feet across, serves as a chilling reminder: it will happen again. Environmental lawyer Robert Sp...

Impact PointRobert Spire Thriller, Book 2By: Simon RosserNarrated by: David LovingThis is an audiobook I requested, and this review is voluntary. This is exactly the kind of book I devour, and honestly, there aren't enough like it out there. The story kicks off with blue whales beaching themselves and dying, which is immediately intriguing. Then, someone's trying to shut down the research into why it's happening. From there, things escalate *fast*. We're talking dangerous people, killers, kidnap...

Well, Si Rosser, you've done it again! Another great story, well-developed characters, a fantastic subject, and that overwhelming audacity of some people (!!!), balanced by the resilience of others. I feel like Chris – I wasn't ready for Impact Point to end! It *was* the right ending, but I just didn't want the story to be over! Please keep writing, Simon Rosser. I'm really enjoying reading your books; Impact Point is the second one I've read and loved. If you are looking for a great thriller ...

An Absolutely Gripping Environmental Mystery ThrillerSimon Rosser's *Impact Point* is a complex and utterly captivating mystery, so packed with plot that it feels like three novels expertly woven into one. From the opening pages, you're drawn into a narrative that seamlessly blends environmental concerns with high-stakes suspense. Remember learning about the Tunguska event, when a massive meteorite devastated a swathe of the Siberian forest? *Impact Point* taps into that primal fear, reminding u...

Another win! "Impact Point" by Simon Rosser is a seriously enjoyable read. The tech jargon wasn't over the top at all and actually added to the story. Plenty of action and excitement kept me hooked from beginning to end. The worst part? I'm done! Time to dive into the next one. Keep 'em coming, Mr. Rosser! If you're looking for exciting thriller book reviews, definitely check out "Impact Point."

Impact Point -- Simon Rosser -- 4/5 stars I was deciding which book to read next. I read the blurb for Impact Point and was going to pass on it, because environmental novels or disaster stories usually aren't my thing. But I kept reading the blurb and noticed a speculative element to the story, which reminded me a bit of Frederick Pohl's Man Plus. I wasn't disappointed once I started reading. I'd been struggling to finish the last few books I'd started, but this one brought back the energy I f...

This was a truly wonderful read! A fantastic blend of eco-sci-fi and thrilling adventure. Incredibly entertaining and thought-provoking. The characters in Simon Rosser's *Impact Point* felt so real, like I could bump into them on the street. I'm definitely adding Simon Rosser to my list of must-read authors and will be checking out more of his books. If you're looking for a captivating science fiction book review, look no further than *Impact Point*!

Simon Rosser, bless his heart, clearly needs to hop across the pond a bit more. We don't have AGA stoves here, folks. Or use the word 'tyres.' And 'laybys'? Nope, never heard of 'em. The sheer number of these little British-isms nearly sent me round the bend while I was reading *Impact Point*. That being said, once I managed to mentally translate everything, it was actually a cracking good read. For thriller fans looking for a new author, *Impact Point* might just be your cup of tea – just be pr...

~First Reads Winner~I really enjoyed reading "Impact Point" by Simon Rosser. I devoured it in just two days! I appreciated that Simon Rosser clearly did his homework on the scientific aspects of the story. He was able to 'translate' the complex details down for the reader, which is a great skill. This allowed me to understand what was being described without getting bogged down in excessive technical jargon. Great job, Simon! "Impact Point" felt current, relevant, and disturbingly plausible. I w...

This is the second novel by Simon Rosser that I've read, and it definitely won't be the last. *Impact Point* is an excellent blend of eco-thriller, sci-fi, and adventure, all rolled into one gripping story. We're all familiar with doomsday predictions from general knowledge and movies – the Earth devastated by an asteroid strike, or even Hollywood's attempts to stop space rocks from hitting us. And yet, *Impact Point* doesn't feel stale or uninteresting at all. Simon Rosser clearly did a solid a...
