This isn't your run-of-the-mill historical romance. It's Sherry Ewing's debut novel, and it's incredibly entertaining. The heroine is a true warrior woman, but she also has a soft and feminine side. The story is packed with action, intrigue, and romance. And what a perfect title for this book, If My Heart Could See You! Definitely check it out for a fantastic read. If you're looking for exciting historical romance book reviews, this one's a winner.

The beginning of "If My Heart Could See You" held my attention, and while the plot progressed predictably, it was still enjoyable. However, somewhere along the line, things took a nosedive. Unlikely scenarios made the story hard to believe. The language throughout felt forced, as if Sherry Ewing was trying too hard to evoke a specific time period, but it just didn't quite land. I also started noticing quite a few minor grammatical errors as I read further. The character development was lacking. I...

Sherry Ewing's If My Heart Could See You offers a captivating glimpse into the tumultuous border wars between England and Scotland in the 12th century. Ewing crafts a tale of a commoner stepping up to defend his castle in the absence of a true knight, juxtaposed against the arrival of the formidable Devil's Dragon, a knight destined to claim his new territory. A quick, engaging read, If My Heart Could See You stands out with its rich detail, well-developed characters, and ultimately, a deeply sa...

Two and a half stars, if I'm being generous. Though, full disclosure, I couldn't even finish it. God, so many things about "If My Heart Could See You" by Sherry Ewing irritated me. I will enumerate: 1. So many clichés, good lord. The feisty, defiant heroine who is beautiful and has long red hair and violet eyes (violet eyes? just stop) and the dark, commanding hero who is also beautiful and broods and is tough and enjoys ordering people around. The mystical, all-knowing, prophetic healer woman. ...

WONDERFUL STORY! EXCELLENT NARRATION! (Audible Review)This was a very good book. I thoroughly enjoyed it! The heroine, Amiria was strong, witty, beautiful, stubborn and I just loved her. The hero Dristan was tall, dark, handsome and sexy! They made a very good match. The chemistry between them felt real and honest, not forced or fake. There are a few very nicely written sex scenes, although they were mildly written, they were well done and you were quite sated. The attraction and sexual tension ...

What do you do when the Devil's Dragon storms in and takes over your home? Amiria decides to try a trick, but she doesn't know how long she can keep it up. Will Dristan's infamous temper explode if he finds out?I absolutely loved this introduction to Berwyck Castle! The characters and setting were so well-developed, and I completely fell for the story. The villains are fantastic, creating plenty of conflict to keep the plot moving at a great pace. My favorite part was the main couple. Amiria is ...

I've always been a sucker for historical romance, and Sherry Ewing definitely delivered. I'm not about to spoil anything, but I will say that I adore the unique characters Sherry brought to life in this book. Amiria's character is just incredible, and I absolutely love the names Sherry chose for her story.I read tons of books, and not all o...

This is the second book I've read by Sherry Ewing (the first, which is actually the second book in this series, was *For All of Ever*, which I absolutely loved).I really enjoyed *If My Heart Could See You*, this medieval romance. Every time I had to stop reading, I actually frowned! I loved all the characters; they were so well-developed. The villain is especially awful, in the best way. Yep, this one's a keeper, and I know I'll be re-reading *If My Heart Could See You* again, as well as the sec...
