I went into "How We Fall" by Kate Brauning expecting a total dumpster fire. Honestly, it was even worse than I imagined. This is the first book in ages to leave me completely speechless with rage, though I will give it props for being the first book I've actually finished in about a year.Incest is *never* okay, so why would anyone even go there?? I thought things were going to be alright for a bit, but then they just went right back to it??? There's only one character in the whole book who seems...

This review can also be found on my blog: A Match Made in HeavenI'd give "How We Fall" by Kate Brauning a 3.5/5. It wasn't quite what I expected, and some aspects made me a little uneasy, but it was interesting, well-written, and the characters were really likeable. The blurb mentions Jackie's relationship with her cousin, Marcus, but it doesn't really go into the true depth of their connection. It's a bit misleading. I think you really need to be okay with a relationship between first cousins t...

*4.5 star rating* *A review copy was provided by the author in exchange for an honest review. Thank you so much!* How We Fall was one of those books that you see everywhere but you end up feeling like you don't have the right guts to pick it up at any moment of the day—but in the end, it was extremely satisfying, interesting, and special, more than any naked eye can see. Kate Brauning will certainly become the new Lauren Kate, or Suzanne Collins, in that matter. At first, I saw this book as...

Kate Brauning is a brilliant author. Her prose sings, and her stories are tightly plotted and deeply emotional. *How We Fall* is highly recommended! If you're looking for compelling book reviews, look no further than Kate Brauning's latest novel.

***I received the ARC eBook free from the author as a review copy in exchange for an honest review***I can't wait to read How We Fall again! I know that sounds crazy since I literally just finished it a few hours ago… but it's one of those books you fly through without even realizing it, and then you're left reeling when it's over, totally unable to believe it's done. The plot of How We Fall seemed pretty straightforward at first glance, but looking back at all the details, I can see how cleverly...

A HUGE THANK YOU TO MERIT PRESS AND EDELWEISS FOR PROVIDING THIS REVIEW COPY IN EXCHANGE FOR AN HONEST REVIEW"How We Fall" wasn’t a bad book – it just wasn’t what I expected. When I requested "How We Fall" from Edelweiss, I was anticipating an emotional rollercoaster about a forbidden relationship, with a dash of mystery and suspense. I got… some of that, but not exactly what I was hoping for. Like I mentioned in my initial thoughts, it felt disjointed. I really wanted it to focus more on the rel...

4.5 StarsI had to sit down and really take my time crafting the perfect review for *How We Fall* because I was just struggling to find the right words. I feel like I owe it to all of you to do this book review justice. Usually, I have such a hard time expressing my feelings about a book and getting my thoughts across in a way that makes sense. So, even though this might still be a little confusing and rambly, I apologize! And I want to say thanks again to Kate Brauning for giving me a copy for r...

I was really excited about this book for a while, so I was thrilled when it not only met but exceeded my expectations!First off, the cousin romance was super intriguing. Kate Brauning managed to make it seem not only realistic but also *relatable*, which is quite an achievement since most of us haven't actually been in love with our cousins. I was rooting for Jackie and Marcus practically from page one: Family disapproval? Who cares!? Too taboo? Ignore the haters! Basically, I cheered them on th...

This book, How We Fall by Kate Brauning, is exceptionally well-written. It's a quick read – I absolutely couldn't put it down – and the pacing is perfect. The characters are intense, yet feel incredibly real. They have layers to them; they’re deep, smart, and witty.I finished How We Fall two days ago, and I'm already itching to read it again. I'm planning on buying a physical copy as soon as it's released (I was lucky enough to get an e-arc beforehand). Kate Brauning is incredibly talented. I ca...

I don’t usually read contemporary novels. It's not that I've had a bad experience, it’s more a fear that if there’s no vampire or angel or demon lurking in the shadows, the story just won’t hold my attention. I’m happy to say, Kate Brauning proved me wrong with "How We Fall.""How We Fall" was fast-paced, full of tension, and had a romance that was both challenging and magical. Okay, let’s get straight to the whole cousin thing. I’m not going to lie – the idea of cousins getting together was… dif...
