John Heldt truly excels at crafting relatable characters and dropping them right into the heart of captivating historical moments. This is historical fiction at its absolute best, using time travel as a brilliant device to transport us to vividly realized places and events. *Hannah's Moon: An American Journey Through Time* is a deeply moving story about a couple yearning to grow their family, who travel back to the final months of World War II to do so. As Claire and Ron try to heal and move for...

Reviewed by Julie on www.whisperingstories.comThis is the fifth book in the ‘American Journey’ series by John A. Heldt and the second I have been asked to read and review. 'Hannah's Moon: An American Journey Through Time' is written in the third person from the point of view of several of the main protagonists. After a powerful and poignant start, Heldt wastes no time in getting on with the story. As previously, he has stuck to his formulaic time-travelling theme which is delightfully far-fetched...

I stumbled upon *Hannah's Moon: An American Journey Through Time* by John A. Heldt quite by accident, and let me tell you, it was a delightful accident indeed! Heldt has this knack for weaving historical fiction that just pulls you right in, and *Hannah's Moon* is no exception.
From the very first page, I was hooked. Hannah, the protagonist, is instantly relatable, and her journey through time is both fascinating and thought-provoking. Heldt's attention to historical detail is impeccable; you ...

4.5 starsI've been reading and enjoying John Heldt's books for years, and I think I've found my favorite in *Hannah's Moon: An American Journey Through Time*. I've enjoyed all his books – I'm a sucker for a good time travel story, especially one that takes me back to a certain time in history that I can become immersed in. John Heldt is very good at bringing the past to life in his books. In fact, one of his books was set in Galveston, TX, and after reading it, I wanted to go there so much. I'm ...

A real emotional rollercoaster that will stay with you long after you finish reading!John A. Heldt's *Hannah's Moon: An American Journey Through Time* will resonate deeply with many readers, especially those who, like myself, have adopted children to fill the voids in their families and their hearts. But beyond that, this story will also tug at the heartstrings of the generation who lived through World War II, and their children – both those who served in the military and the spouses, parents, a...

John A. Heldt provided me with an e-copy of Hannah's Moon: An American Journey Through Time for review. I emphasize the "A" in his name because the Barnes & Noble website lists works by a different John Heldt. They're really missing out by not carrying "A's" books. Hannah's Moon: An American Journey Through Time is the fifth and final installment in the American Journey series. As with all the books in the series, it's not strictly necessary to have read the previous ones to understand this one....

I am absolutely in love with this cover!! And honestly, I didn't want this series to end—I'm hoping for a new one, especially with how this one wrapped up. The ending was bittersweet, a blend of happiness and sadness, but ultimately hopeful. John A. Heldt did a fantastic job of bringing all four books in this series together in this final installment. This fifth book, *Hannah's Moon: An American Journey Through Time*, will have you on the edge of your seat, worried for the time travelers – after ...

Claire Rasmussen would do anything to adopt a child, but she never imagined an uncle she barely knew could send her back to 1945, where thousands of infants were waiting for adoption. The process took weeks instead of the years she expected in 2017. With her husband, Ron, and her brother, David, they started new lives in 1945 with one mission, but what happened to them became part fairy tale romance, part FBI horror story, and a forced enlistment in the Navy near the end of World War II.
Once a...
