Something is rotten in the state of Denmark…I've watched six different adaptations of Hamlet, Prince of Denmark (Calla Editions)…This is a review of sorts… All the quirks are deliberate…Attempting Not to BeWhy didn’t time choose to stop? How can the sun keep rising up?How dare the earth still turn around? Now that Ophelia’s drowned.Tomorrow and tomorrow and tomorrow:A meandering road of sorrow,The present drags, the future breaks,I rush along without brakes.I walk my path without a bless,Into the ...

I'm not sure about a lot of things, but there's one thing I know with absolute certainty, and that's that Hamlet and Horatio definitely explored each other's bodies. Multiple times. If you're looking for insightful Shakespeare book reviews, look no further than my interpretation of William Shakespeare's *Hamlet, Prince of Denmark (Calla Editions)*.

Is it even possible that after just the first four scenes, Hamlet has already become one of my all-time favorite male characters? YES! Why? Because he's constantly wearing black, delivering dramatic monologues about how literally everything is a struggle, and generally making everything more dramatic than it needs to be – which is SO me! And even though "Hamlet, Prince of Denmark (Calla Editions)" is considered a tragedy (and in some ways, it is), I found it hilarious (probably because I have a ...

Hesitant to read Hamlet, Prince of Denmark (Calla Editions)? You'll regret it!We all hate choices... and sometimes struggle to pass them on to others.Do we choose this color... or that one? Do we sleep or work? Do we read Hamlet, Prince of Denmark (Calla Editions) or postpone it?Do we take revenge or forgive? And most importantly, do we take this bright path... or that dark one?To be, or not to be?"The most I could offer in defense of a dear father and king who suffered the worst calamities... is...

I have a confession to make: I never used to like *Hamlet, Prince of Denmark (Calla Editions)* at all among Shakespeare's works. I loved Othello and Macbeth, but I didn't like *Hamlet, Prince of Denmark (Calla Editions)* at all, and I didn't know why it was Shakespeare's most famous work. All of this changed when I heard that Benedict Cumberbatch had played Hamlet. I had previously seen Mel Gibson's film version, and frankly, it didn't help me like *Hamlet, Prince of Denmark (Calla Editions)* ...

Shakespeare, probably pitching **Hamlet, Prince of Denmark (Calla Editions)**: "This is my OC, Hamlet. He's a prince. He's bisexual. He's moody, brooding, and anywhere between 16 and 30 years old. And no, I am *not* taking constructive criticism."Well, let me tell you what: I'm sold! I *love* Hamlet. I love his angsty monologues. I love his sassy remarks. I love that he can't seem to shut up. I love his relationship with Horatio. I love everything about him avoiding Osric and his hat. I love tha...

Something is rotten in the state of Denmark, and, like Oscar the Grouch, I absolutely love it. And I love Hamlet. He can’t shut up, he’s moody as hell, possibly bisexual, and gets all philosophical while wanting everyone to think he’s losing his mind, triggering a self-fulfilling prophecy of his mental health actually spiraling… okay, so maybe I relate a bit too much. But this play rules, and it has survived as a classic for a reason, even if its characters don’t survive the play. Plus, who does...

I don't have any earth-shattering insights to share from this, my latest of who-knows-how-many readings of *Hamlet, Prince of Denmark (Calla Editions)*, but this time through, I was really struck by two things: 1) What a damn fine piece of stagecraft this is, from the suspenseful, moody opening scene on the castle battlements to the solemn dead march carrying the prince offstage. It's just masterful. 2) How William Shakespeare seems to want Hamlet's personality—particularly the wellspring of h...
