I dove straight into this book after finishing Book One of the trilogy, and now I'm practically vibrating with impatience, desperate to get my hands on the third! Linda Hawley leaves us hanging off a major cliff, and the only glimmer of hope in the darkness is the reassuring line at the end of her author's note: "this story is, as I believe all stories should be, about hope." I'm paraphrasing since I don't have my Kindle with me right now, but that's the essence of what she said, and it's stuck ...

I started with *Guardian of Time (The Prophecies, #2)*, then read *Dreams Unleashed*. So, by the end of book 2, I already liked the heroine and very much disliked all the scumbags she had to deal with. So when those folks are introduced in book 1, I already had a bias against them. I guess that's why things should be read in order. The first thing that stood out for me was how smoothly the story moves along. We might be moving three or twenty-three years back and then forward again, and there is...

Wow. This book picks up right where the previous one left off – at a cracking pace. There's no recap, so you absolutely need to have read the first book to know what's going on.

The story in *Guardian of Time (The Prophecies, #2)* by Linda Hawley has become utterly gripping, packed with twists, turns, drama, and danger. As far as fantasy book reviews go, this one is easy: I can't wait to read the final installment!

I found *Guardian of Time (The Prophecies, #2)* to be a truly captivating story. This second book neatly ties up some of the mysteries introduced in the first, while still leaving enough intriguing questions to smoothly set the stage for the third. Linda Hawley's writing in the opening chapter was absolutely stellar. The way she described the events on the airplane felt so real and authentic. I really enjoyed Ann's character development. She's evolving beautifully, and it's inspiring to see her ...

If *Where Dreams Unleashed* set the stage for an action-packed adventure, *Guardian of Time (The Prophecies, #2)* by Linda Hawley absolutely delivers. From the very first page, I was completely engrossed. Not only does it pick up exactly where *Where Dreams Unleashed* left off, but the action starts immediately. I was hooked from the get-go, completely unable to put it down. Seriously, I even took my Kindle into the kitchen and read while I made and ate my lunch. It was THAT good. I devoured thi...

Linda Hawley's *Guardian of Time (The Prophecies, #2)* is the second installment in The Prophecies series. The story picks up with Ann as she continues to explore the potential of her paranormal abilities and strives to make the world a better place. The first book masterfully introduces the characters, making them feel like old friends when you dive into book 2. Several minor characters also take on much larger roles in Ann's life as the story unfolds. If I were to delve into the plot, I'd almo...

Originally posted at Butterfly-o-Meter Books on Nov 16 2011:Okay, wow. Just wow. After reading the first book in the series, I had so many questions and theories swirling in my head about what would happen to Ann. There was a point in this book where I was thinking, okay, too much is happening to Ann; can we give her a vacation or something? A break?I am seriously not happy about the Paul situation! When I was demanding some action on that front, I definitely wasn't expecting *that* kind of acti...

If I had to pick one word for *Guardian of Time (The Prophecies, #2)* by Linda Hawley, it'd be "revealing." The first book was shrouded in mystery, and while this sequel still has its secrets, it peels back the layers on quite a few characters. Some faces we met briefly in the first book suddenly become incredibly important in *Guardian of Time*. Even Sinead, their home computer, plays a pivotal role. What really worked for me was how this novel tied up several loose threads from *Dreams Unleashe...

The first book in the series really sets the stage. This second book, *Guardian of Time (The Prophecies, #2)*, throws you right into the action, illuminating many of the hints dropped in the first installment. Ann is underground. Her life started falling apart back in Washington State, and her situation became compromised. Word about her and her abilities got into the wrong hands, putting her family and friends in danger. The one thing they all share? They're determined to protect Ann, no matte...

I had mixed feelings about *Guardian of Time (The Prophecies, #2)* by Linda Hawley. Some parts were fantastic, while others didn't quite land for me. The highlights were definitely the immersive settings and the engaging character relationships and dialogue. I wasn't as keen on the direction Ann's powers took. The settings were vibrant, exotic, and truly magical. Each location was described so vividly that I felt like I was right there, experiencing it firsthand. They practically leaped off the...
