My life was built on gilded lies, but now death rises from the ashes. I was merely a stepping stone for Midas, paving his golden path. Like a phoenix, I must rise and wield my power. Though my wings were clipped, I'm free from the frozen kingdoms. But the world resists my freedom. Turning against a...

This was a real letdown, especially after how much I loved book three. This one gave me ✨ nothing. ✨ Get ready for some tea ☕I'm being generous with this rating considering how much of a slog it was to get through and how much I need to rant. But, at the same time, there were a few things I liked, saw potential in, and understood. Hence the three stars. First off, I'm super annoyed by how poorly executed "Glow (The Plated Prisoner Series, Book 4)" by Raven Kennedy was. The plot had potential, ...

There's only so much filler a book can contain.Raven Kennedy: Are you sure about that?740 pages for *this*? This should have been a freaking novella. Honestly, even novellas manage to pack in more plot than **Glow (The Plated Prisoner Series, Book 4)** did. I wanted to repeatedly bang my head against a wall because I'm incapable of DNF-ing, but then I thought, what did the poor wall ever do to deserve that? The *entirety* of the book is filled with *filler* to such an extent that it's actually i...

I was late to the party and only started reading the Plated Prisoner Series a few days before the release of *Glow (The Plated Prisoner Series, Book 4)*, so I binged them all, finishing with *Glow (The Plated Prisoner Series, Book 4)* itself. And I think I'll stop there, even if there's more to come. This isn't going to be an "OMG SO GOOD!!" review, but an in-depth discussion on why this book shouldn't have been published in this form at all. I'll give a short review first, then dive into the de...

Honestly, I'd forgotten most of what happened in the earlier books, besides the basic setup... But as I read "Glow (The Plated Prisoner Series, Book 4)" by Raven Kennedy, things started to come back to me, and luckily, this one's mostly just setting things up anyway. The plot is very much about transition. It picks up after the end of the third book and gives the characters (and us readers) time to deal with everything through world-building and character development. Which made me so happy! "Gl...

Okay, don't praise me too much, but I didn't love this installment of the series as much as I wanted to. Before you banish me, let me explain:
1. Suddenly, we're bombarded with so many different POV narratives. Queen Kaila, Slade, Osrik, Rissa, Auren... it just didn't work for me. If this had been a consistent element throughout all the books, maybe I would have enjoyed it more, but this wasn't the series' original style, and I didn't appreciate the constant jumping back and forth.
2. I also h...

First read: ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️Second read: ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️Thank you Raven Kennedy and The Nerd Fam for gifting me with an eARC of GlowDisclaimer: this review may contain minor spoilers but nothing major that would spoil the book.I don't think I have the right words to convey the magnitude of the emotional suffering and joy **Glow (The Plated Prisoner Series, Book 4)** caused me, and I wouldn't have had it any other way.**Glow (The Plated Prisoner Series, Book 4)** was nothing short of devastatingly emotional...

Okay, let's dive into this review of Raven Kennedy's *Glow (The Plated Prisoner Series, Book 4)*. First, the good stuff: despite its flaws, this series is seriously addictive. I'm always hooked, even when things get frustrating. You just can't put these books down!
Now for the not-so-good (and I'm about to list a bunch of issues, but remember I still gave it 3 stars overall):
- The first 450 pages? Could've been a tight 150. It was so stretched out, even though not much actually happened.
- T...

OMG OMG WHY NO NO WHY DID IT END I WANT MORE😭That last line actually gave me chills! I'M SO EXCITED FOR BOOK 5 and all that's going to happen!! skdhgks For a 730-page book, this went by way too fast😩Getting Slade's past WAS A BLESSING. Somehow, I fell even more in love with him. It was the littlest things he did that just had me swooning. Omg, get me a man like him.AND AUREN. She only just escaped from the cage she was in, and now her coming to terms with everything skdhgks and just the growth...

2 stars. Oh boy, oh boy, oh boy...Before I start, let me remind everyone that I *never* want to dislike a book. That would be a miserable waste of time. I also don't want to be contrary just for the sake of it. **Honesty is my only goal.**Okay, with that out of the way, let's get to it: **I think it's unacceptable to ask readers to get through a 714-page book where nothing important happens until the 85% mark.***"BuT iTs ChArAcTeR dRiVeN!!!!"* You can't seriously tell me that Auren grew as much ...
