Okay, WOW! I went into this expecting a drastically different story than what it was, but I am pleasantly surprised with where we ended up! Thriller? Romance? Mystery? Yeah, a little sprinkle of each – what a fun read! Loretta Rothschild's "Finding Grace" is a real page-turner. If you're looking for exciting book reviews, definitely check this one out!

DNF - I don't know, you guys. I'm seeing so much love for Loretta Rothschild's *Finding Grace*, but it's just not grabbing me at all. I wanted to share my honest book review, even if it's a bit negative.First off, the story is just so weird. There's interesting weird, like when you see something you've never seen before and you're intrigued and want to know more. And then there's just plain weird that's vaguely repulsive, making you hope they don't tell you anymore. This one definitely fell squa...

The main character, Tom, seriously needs therapy. If I were married to Tom, chilling in the tub, and he told me our kid was crying and threatened me not to have another child if I couldn't handle this one, I'd tell him, "Oh, you have ears? Maybe hop off your high horse and deal with it yourself. Or, if you're stuck in man-child mode, call the concierge for a babysitter. And if you threaten me again, divorce court it is. Now, I'm going back to my serenity soak. Tootles." I have zero patience for n...

My Reviews Can Also Be Found On: The Book Review Crew BlogI've been going back and forth on how to write this review, because I really don't want to give anything away. This is absolutely the kind of book you're better off going into without knowing too much. I will say that it's about a woman named Honor who has a daughter named Chloe and a husband named Tom. This book is twisty, full of secrets, incredibly emotional, and it's a truly excellent debut. Right from page one, I was completely sucke...

5 stars!2025 Favourites Shelf 🏆 "You can’t boycott grief, unless you want to boycott happiness with it.”Emotional. Poignant. Compelling. Heavy. Insightful. Thought provoking.A unique, haunting, and moving story about motherhood/parenthood, marriage, grief, and healing. This storyline is like no other. I highly recommend going into Loretta Rothschild's *Finding Grace* blind, avoiding reading too many (any!) reviews for worry that it will spoil your reading experience as there are some major cliff...

You know those rom-coms where someone isn’t entirely honest about who they are, and it spectacularly backfires? Well, that's the setup here, but ditch the comedy. You can look at it two ways. Option A: The person who's bending the truth is a flat-out liar who doubles down when caught. They're toxic, untrustworthy, and you should run for the hills! Option B: Their heart's in the right place, and they deserve forgiveness and understanding. If you lean towards Option A, you'll probably hate "Fi...

If the first 30 pages of this novel don't leave you shell-shocked and breathless, check your pulse. The opening of Finding Grace hit me like cinematic shrapnel—raw, shattering, and impossible to forget. Imagine the harrowing realism of Saving Private Ryan’s beach landing colliding with the emotional gut punch of The Last of Us’s second season's the most unforgettable moments. I actually paused, rubbed my eyes, and reread it, hoping I’d misinterpreted. I hadn’t. What followed was an emotional jo...

“WHAT HAPPENS WHEN YOUR SECRETS COME BACK TO HAUNT YOU?”Finding Grace by Loretta RothschildNarrated by Fiona Button 👍🏻10 hours 43 minutes at 1x7 hours 9 minutes at 1.5xI absolutely love that the Publisher only gave us a vague hint of what's to come (so many others give away the whole plot!), and that other reviewers have respected that too—because the story in Finding Grace is so much more powerful when you go in knowing as little as possible! So, what can I say to pique your interest in pickin...

The synopsis did not prepare me for the first chapter of Finding Grace. And the first chapter did not prepare me for the rest of it.https://emmareadstoomuch.substack.com...The thing about writing a synopsis that is only accurate to the first, oh, 10 pages or so is that literally no one gets what they signed up for. It's a bait-and-switch of epic proportions.I can't even write about this book, or how much it aggravated me, without spoiling it. Because I can't tell you what the horrible evil plot i...

Wow! What a phenomenal debut! I almost skipped over this one, but the cover caught my eye 😉, and I'm so glad I decided to read it! "Finding Grace" by Loretta Rothschild completely took me by surprise and just pulled me right in. This book is a rollercoaster of emotions, and I even teared up early on in Chapter Two!I honestly don't feel like I can give even the shortest summary of what "Finding Grace" is about, because I'm afraid I'd be giving away major spoilers. My advice? Just pick up the boo...
