For those who read the popular Bangladeshi spy thriller Masud Rana, one of the most popular books in the Rana series, 'I Love You, Man,' is taken from Wilbur Smith's Eye of the Tiger. It's almost a direct copy, translated by Makhdum Ahmed, practically plagiarized from Eye of the Tiger. 😑😑😑

In 1858, the East India Company murdered four princes of the Mughal Empire and looted the Mughal treasury. This included a three-hundred-pound gold tiger throne and the sixty-pound Great Mughal diamond, along with a vast fortune. In October of that year, the ship Dawn Light set sail for Britain with its immense stolen wealth. However, near St. Mary's Island in the Indian Ocean, it was caught in a terrible cyclone and sank. A century and a half later, in the present day, a sinister group is despe...

Okay, so my question is, if you're going to copy the translation, why not do it properly? :3 There's not much to say about the story itself. It's good, undeniably very good. I haven't read a lot of Wilbur Smith, but I have read some of his famous books—the kind you absolutely have to read. I've heard a lot of controversy surrounding *Eye of the Tiger* and *I Love You, Man*, and I witnessed the evidence firsthand while reading. 😂 Oh my god! Wave Dancer was turning into a mermaid sometimes, and ...

Wilbur Smith's *Eye of the Tiger* tells the gripping tale of Harry Fletcher, an ex-soldier who trades his rifle for a fishing rod, only to find himself hunting for treasure. This treasure isn't just lying around; it's buried deep in the Indian Ocean, guarded by treacherous coral reefs and circling great white sharks. What a fantastic adventure novel! This was my first Wilbur Smith book, and I absolutely loved it. I'm definitely diving into more of his work. The story bounces between London and th...

One of Wilbur Smith's earlier novels, back when he still wrote standalone stories and wasn't entirely focused on the Courtney and Ancient Egypt series. Think of it as classic Wilbur! This is a seriously entertaining adventure novel. Back in the '60s and '70s, treasure hunting stories were all the rage, and you can't really blame Smith for jumping on the bandwagon. He was a professional writer, after all, and sales are what kept the lights on. As always, the book is set in Africa (he *always* set...

Harry Fletcher makes James Bond look like he's got no blood in his veins... Seriously, this is a cracking adventure story, but keep in mind it was written in the '70s when the heroes were total blokes and the women were, shall we say, easily impressed, so consider yourself warned. If you're looking for a Wilbur Smith classic, "Eye of the Tiger" is a wild ride, just remember the era it comes from. A great read for fans of classic adventure novels!

It's hard to find fault with this one: it's slick, lean, and ruthlessly efficient, quite unlike any other Wilbur Smith novel I've read. The setting is St Mary's Island, in the Indian Ocean, and there's none of the game hunting or African history that provides the background for Smith's other books. The story is action-focused, one of those where everyone except the hero and his companions seems to be a bad guy. Harry Fletcher, the protagonist, makes a living taking tourists out to hunt various ...
