After devouring Frederick Forsyth's *The Day of the Jackal*, I was craving more suspense and decided to dive into Ken Follett’s *Eye of the Needle*, a genre I don't usually explore. Let me tell you, it was a fantastic choice. *Eye of the Needle*, later adapted into a film in 1981, is a masterfully crafted story centered around "The Needle" (or *Die Nadel* as the Nazis call him), a top-secret German agent who uncovers the Allied plan to invade Normandy – the real target for Fortress Europa. The...

For years, Ken Follett has been one of my most admired authors... but considering the length of his novels and the historical detail, I usually only manage one or two a year – and he's got quite the backlist. This year, I kicked things off with *Eye of the Needle*, arguably his most famous book. The story centres on a German spy who's infiltrated British military intelligence. Several people are killed before his cover is blown, and then he’s on the run. He uses a stiletto to kill, and it's alwa...

I really enjoy a good, classic spy thriller, and who better than Ken Follett to deliver a suspenseful and exciting story that had me hooked from beginning to end? In the weeks leading up to D-Day, Hitler’s top undercover agent, a cold and professional killer known as The Needle, is on the verge of uncovering the Allied invasion plans, threatening months of careful planning. Hunted by MI5, he leaves a trail of murder across Britain, aiming for a waiting U-boat. But he hasn’t accounted for a storm...

A gripping tale with suspense that will have you on the edge of your seat.I absolutely couldn't stop thinking about the characters and their plight in this "older" but brilliant read! I enjoy WWII historical fiction, and *Eye of the Needle* delivered on so many levels. The terrifying German spy called "The Needle," a determined British intelligence officer, a betrayal, a strong English woman, a hunt for the villain, a shipwreck, an unlikely rendezvous. There are even a few steamy scenes that migh...

A Complicated LoveHe leaves a trail of death wherever he goes. He kills with a stiletto, which is why they call him The Needle. He has a mission to fulfill, and that's all that matters to him. Until She appears...And... if you want to know more... you'll have to read the synopsis or other book reviews (something I definitely don't recommend), because I'm going to shut up here. It's read and win, or don't read and lose. The advice is mine, and the choice is yours! 😉———————————++++++++++++++++++—...

Ken Follett's *Eye of the Needle* is a pulse-pounding spy thriller set against the dramatic backdrop of World War II, specifically in the lead-up to D-Day and the Battle of Normandy. Henry Faber, codenamed The Needle, is a lethal German spy embedded in England. He uncovers crucial intelligence that could shift the entire war in Germany's favor. Hitler trusts him implicitly, but can Faber successfully transmit this vital knowledge with British Intelligence breathing down his neck, determined to c...

If you've never picked up a Ken Follett novel before, **Eye of the Needle** is a fantastic place to start. At 368 pages, the paperback edition is actually shorter than many of his other books. If you enjoy his style, you'll find that his other novels often feature even more characters, each offering a unique point of view that he skillfully weaves into the narrative. I suspect Follett realized he'd stumbled upon a winning formula for building suspense, and he simply added more characters to keep...

Totally clichéd and predictable: an absolute train wreck. Seriously wasted my valuable reading time on Ken Follett's *Eye of the Needle*. If you're looking for a gripping thriller, skip this one. There are far better spy novels out there.

This was the novel that catapulted Ken Follett to superstar status in the publishing world. Not only was *Eye of the Needle* a bestseller, but it was also adapted into a movie starring Donald Sutherland. If you're looking for a gripping read, this one's a classic! Here's why you should pick up *Eye of the Needle*: (1) PRECISION: You love reading about cool, precise heroes, anti-heroes, or villains who are painstakingly precise in their plans, the absolute best at what they do, and totally "stone...

These days, most people know Ken Follett as the author of massive historical fiction epics. I'm talking about novels so huge, they'd make War and Peace turn tail and run like Napoleon's troops retreating from Moscow. (See what I did there?) It's a well-known fact that you could build a house strong enough to withstand an F5 tornado entirely out of copies of Pillars of the Earth, World Without End, and Fall of Giants. (Note: this house will lack doors, windows, a roof, and the ability to actually...
