The heroine in Driven, Rita, was a surprise for me as she is gay. Her thoughts about her past relationship and a potential new one were front and center throughout the book. Honestly, I felt way too much text was dedicated to that romantic tension. I don’t think I’ve seen such an intense focus on romance when a heroine is heterosexual.
