Love at first sight is for the naive, not for a hitman living a double life. Kinsley Hayes was never supposed to end up in my crosshairs. She was just a college student tending bar, and I was a man with a dangerous past and a fortune built on shadows. But when she walked into my world, the line betw...

Ugh, absolutely terrible. Do not read Don't Close Your Eyes by Lynessa Layne unless you enjoy reading garbage chapters that follow the same tired pattern: slut, slut, oh I’m so hot, slut, slut, oh my gosh, that girl is so innocent and the only one in this slutty world, I must have her. It is just full of boring, one-dimensional characters with zero depth and truly awful qualities. This book is a total miss for anyone looking for a decent read.

Honestly, I feel like I'm missing something. Don't Close Your Eyes by Lynessa Layne was just so confusing to me. I didn't get most of the jokes, and they seemed to come completely out of left field. I didn't even finish it; I only made it halfway through because the reviews were so glowing. If you're looking for an honest book review, this one just didn't do it for me.

I am honestly baffled by this book. The majority of the reviews seem fake, but I’m willing to concede that maybe it’s just a matter of taste. What I DON’T like is how these “reviewers” are also going in and messing up the Listopias on Goodreads. 😤💢Leave. The. Lists. Alone. 💢The whole thing feels incredibly scammy because the ads are wildly inaccurate in most cases. Many of the GR users only add Don't Close Your Eyes by Lynessa Layne and no other books. 🤡This book has been added to hundreds o...

I…I just don’t get it?? Don't Close Your Eyes by Lynessa Layne features some of the most insanely juvenile storytelling I’ve ever had the misfortune to read. If you're looking for a serious book review, let me be clear: this one is a major miss.

I honestly don’t even know how to describe this. Don't Close Your Eyes by Lynessa Layne is just a big, jumbled mess, and I’m still not entirely sure what the actual plot is supposed to be, other than the fact that there’s a stalker involved. The vast majority of the story just revolves around a celibate protagonist who somehow has three or more guys falling over themselves to be with her. If that dynamic had actually been entertaining, this book review might have a more positive spin, but it mos...

The story in "Don't Close Your Eyes" by Lynessa Layne progresses at a glacial pace, reaching the point of being downright boring. I really didn't appreciate the slut-shaming or the tired "I'm not like other girls" attitude that gets thrown around constantly throughout the book. To make matters worse, the male characters feel incredibly flat; they’re mostly depicted as sex-starved and brainless, existing solely to pine after the super-virtuous Kinsley. If you are looking for an honest book review...

I honestly couldn't stand the writing style in Don't Close Your Eyes by Lynessa Layne. It felt completely messy and disjointed throughout. If you're looking for a gripping new thriller, this one was a major miss for me.

Author Lynessa Layne pulls her readers into a high-stakes sprint in her latest release, Don't Close Your Eyes. Tailored for young adult readers—who will absolutely love the curated music playlist included to set the mood while reading—this book perfectly captures the messy, hormonal, and heart-pounding confusion that defines life in your late teens and early twenties. The protagonist, Kinsley, is a college track star nicknamed 'Micro Machine' by her inner circle. She also finds herself caught in...

Wow! Who is this writer? Her style is so different and refreshing! I’m absolutely hooked! I didn’t want it to end, but fortunately, there’s a sequel... I’m diving into ‘Complicated Moonlight’ next! The characters actually have real “character,” and you legit feel like you’re in the story as each of them. It is so vivid and beautifully written, very well edited, and from line one, she hits you with foreboding action, intensity, and psychological thriller-suspense. I felt like I was running for my...

I just couldn't get into Don't Close Your Eyes by Lynessa Layne. It was a tough read for me, and unfortunately, it didn't quite capture my attention like I hoped a good thriller would.
