I honestly didn’t think I’d get so hooked on Dark Matter by Blake Crouch!!! The story plunges you into the multiverse with the main character, showing all these different parallel lives that branch off from tiny choices. It was so gripping and really made me think about my own life and the paths I’ve taken. The second half really blew me away; the suspense was incredible, and I was completely emotionally invested in the character’s journey. Such a fantastic read! Even if sci-fi/thrillers aren’t u...

A psychological thriller about an unassuming man who gets kidnapped and thrust into a world where his wife isn't his wife and his child doesn't exist. *Dark Matter* by Blake Crouch explores the dark side of the human psyche, asking the reader questions we never dared to ask ourselves. Moving, intelligent, and original, it forces you to rethink the action. Deeply complex and impossibly gripping. Between the lines, it begs us to appreciate and reflect on our lives, our choices. Their infinity is t...

I genuinely dig the core concept of "Dark Matter" and the mind-bending, chaotic trip it throws you into during the latter half. It turns the story's momentum into a seriously fast and fun ride. My main hang-up, though, is Blake Crouch's kinda cheesy writing style. The characters feel a bit cliché and formulaic, and the protagonist's inner thoughts constantly hammer home the life lesson that Crouch wants you to take away. He doesn't leave much space for interpretation or any real nuance because h...

This moment slips past unnoticed. The end of everything I know, everything I love.
If there ever was a science fiction story that could appeal to absolutely everyone, this is it.Jason Dessen was living a perfectly normal, happy life with his wife and son when one night, a stranger abducts him and knocks him out cold. When he comes to, everything's completely different. How will he survive and get back to the life, and more importantly, the people he loves?Okay, that's a pretty weak teaser, but...

What in the ever-loving hell was *Dark Matter* by Blake Crouch? Seriously, with all due respect, what the actual FUCK was that book? What just happened? What did I just read? How does anyone even begin to process the sheer, unadulterated mind-fuckery that is *Dark Matter*? Now what? Am I just supposed to go to work, pay the bills, answer my texts, and act like a normal human being after Blake Crouch just completely scrambled my brains, ripped my heart out, and shoved me headfirst into an existent...

If you liked the film *Interstellar*, you might like *Dark Matter* by Blake Crouch. I did not like *Interstellar*.
I found the plot to be intriguing, but not particularly original. It felt like a rehashing of many stories. The themes were pretty much exactly what you'd expect to find in a book about multiple universes: life, love, decisions, fate, acceptance, etc.
And the dialogue was mediocre at best. There were some lines that had me laughing out loud...and they weren't supposed to be funny....

I loved the premise of this story.
Are we really happy? What if we made different decisions in life?
What if we could live out choices we never made but wished we did?
What if we went left instead of right?
Straight.
Backward.
Diagon Alley.
Harry Potter.
The premise was very interesting. The stuff about the box and the multiverse and even the science at times was interesting.
Why couldn't you pull that off, Andy Weir?
The plot is so fast-paced and relentless. Even if you aren't fully invested, y...

I suppose we’re both just trying to come to terms with how horrifying infinity really is.
This book made me feel tiny. It was overwhelming and scary, but oh so very gripping too. Dark Matter is the kind of compelling "I must know WTF is going on" book that makes you forget about everything else you had to do that day. You step into this world—this absolute mindfuck of a world that will tug at both your heartstrings and your brain cells—and you don't want to come out until you know how it ends...

The best way to describe *Dark Matter* is that it's one of the most unique and original stories I've read in ages. I honestly can't think of another book that's even remotely similar to 75% of what's in here.I totally get why people say it's hard to review without giving anything away. Seriously, EVERYONE NEEDS TO READ *DARK MATTER* BEFORE IT GETS SPOILED!It's the perfect blend of suspense, action, sci-fi, romance, and HOLY CRAP moments! I was completely hooked from beginning to end and didn't w...

LOVED IT!!! This book is absolute insanity in a box! 5 stars! Believe the hype! Seriously, don't read too many reviews! If you're into sci-fi or crave something totally different and can suspend your disbelief, read or listen to "Dark Matter" by Blake Crouch! This is a review specifically for the audiobook version! The narration, performed by Jon Lindstrom, is as good as it gets! He was absolutely perfect for "Dark Matter." This man was born to narrate books! He's *that* good!"Dark Matter" starts...
