I snagged a massive collection of Clive Cussler books in an eBay auction. (Man, does Cussler have a huge back catalog!). I sorted them by publication order. I'd already read *Pacific Vortex* and *Mediterranean Caper* before diving into this one. I recall saying in my reviews that Dirk Pitt was like a modern-day James Bond, but on the water. I was entertained, but decided to take a Cussler break since I had ten more novels waiting for me. I started *Cyclops: A Dirk Pitt Adventure* because it was ...

Cussler Intermittent Series Read 2023I honestly don't remember reading *Cyclops: A Dirk Pitt Adventure* before, and the fact I had to actually buy it probably means I never have. As always with Dirk Pitt, it's a fun, completely unbelievable, but nonetheless enjoyable read. Like the blurb says, adventure just seems to find him. While taking part in a windsurfing competition, an abandoned airship floats right into his path (as they often do), and that's how it all kicks off. Throw in some evil Rus...

I always have a thoroughly great time reading the Dirk Pitt series, and this eighth installment was just as addictive.
The plots are always so over the top that it's difficult not to get invested in them, and with *Cyclops: A Dirk Pitt Adventure* it felt like Cussler threw the whole lot in.
From a seemingly innocent wandering blimp leading to a discovery of a colony on the moon, plus sunken treasure in Cuba, friendship, and even a KGB threat! This book had everything you'd expect from the ge...

I can totally picture Matthew McConaughey as Dirk Pitt. Not the self-important guy from the Oscars, or the brooding Lincoln driver from those ads, but the beach-bum, twinkle-in-his-eye McConaughey from, like, a decade ago. I haven't actually seen "Sahara," but reading this—my first Dirk Pitt novel—I'm convinced he was born to play the part in *Cyclops: A Dirk Pitt Adventure* by Clive Cussler.Speaking of the book: I had big expectations. A friend recommended Cussler, and Dirk Pitt specifically, a...

Loved it! *Cyclops: A Dirk Pitt Adventure* feels super dated, but it's still a blast to read. If you're looking for a fun, classic adventure novel by Clive Cussler, this one definitely delivers. A great read!

Off the coast of Cuba lies a small island and a shipwreck, seemingly unconnected until a wealthy financier disappears while treasure hunting in his blimp. Soon, everything from the moon to a lost Amazonian treasure becomes linked. *Cyclops: A Dirk Pitt Adventure* is Clive Cussler’s 8th Dirk Pitt novel, where his iconic character soars through the skies in an antique blimp, escapes, returns to a secret Soviet base, and saves Havana from a fiery doom.
A U.S. ship named *Cyclops* is transporting a...

An amazingly suspenseful read! Once I started "Cyclops: A Dirk Pitt Adventure" by Clive Cussler, I pretty much couldn't put it down. I really enjoyed it. If you're looking for a gripping adventure novel, this is it!

Clive Cussler's *Cyclops: A Dirk Pitt Adventure* wasn't a standout for me, landing at 3 stars. I read it, I liked it well enough, but it didn't blow me away.
I was 33 when I first picked this up, which feels like ages ago now. Back then, I definitely gravitated towards books with a bit more spice. My main issue with *Cyclops: A Dirk Pitt Adventure* at the time was its 'steam' factor. The adventure itself was solid Cussler, but something about this one just felt…off.
Look, I get that Dirk Pitt'...

I picked up "Cyclops: A Dirk Pitt Adventure" by Clive Cussler at a charity book swap for a dollar. After my last read, I needed something fun and easy on the brain. I mean, Dirk Pitt is Indiana Jones + James Bond + water! Several Dirk Pitt books have made an appearance as family road-trip fodder because, while basically predictable (What, this story involves a secret treasure that's probably in the ocean somewhere?! Who would guess!), it's fun. What's not to like? Looking for thrilling adventure...
