More like a 3.5 or 3.75! Honestly, I'm hovering right around there for Marissa Meyer's *Cinder (The Lunar Chronicles, Book 1)*. This isn't a 'gushingly amazing' book review, but it's definitely a positive one.

“Even in the Future the Story Begins with Once Upon a Time.”A Cinderella story through and through...or is it?Everyone knows this story. At this point, I have read so many versions that I have a tough time going through yet another one. Yet, the further I read, the more I was delighted. This book was unexpectedly sweet, endearing, and enjoyable. My younger sibling had Cinder (The Lunar Chronicles, Book 1) on a shelf for the longest time and (finally) at the nudging of one of my friends, I picke...

Wow. Wow. WOW.
I went into *Cinder (The Lunar Chronicles, Book 1)* not expecting to like it. I'm not sure why, but Marissa Meyer's *Cinder* completely surprised me! Seriously, I was expecting a mediocre YA dystopian novel, but what I got was so much better. As far as fairytale retellings go, this one is top-notch. If you're looking for captivating book reviews, look no further than *Cinder*.

\"Vanity is a factor, but it is more a question of control. It is easier to trick others into perceiving you as beautiful if you can convince yourself you are beautiful. But mirrors have an uncanny way of telling the truth.”After finishing Cinder I was kind of curious what other reviewers wrote about it and I was pretty surprised when I found out that a lot of my friends gave it only two or three stars. Apparently, the main reasons for those low ratings were 1.) It’s just not my thing or 2.) I'v...

Okay, so Cinder is basically my whole vibe right now.I'm seriously kicking myself for not diving into this series sooner. Why didn't anyone tell me how good it was!?This is actually the first book I've read by Marissa Meyer, and I'm completely blown away by her imagination. We stan a creative queen! The cyberpunk atmosphere was exactly what I needed to get totally lost in this world. Our main character, Cinder, works as a mechanic in New Beijing. She's also a cyborg, a secret she's kept hidden from...

I guess I'm on some kind of year-end mission to be the last person on Earth to read all the popular series. Last week: *The Hunger Games*. This week: *Cinder*.Or… not. I absolutely hated it. No binging this series for me, sorry, friends. You might think it's harsh to give *Cinder* one star when there's nothing particularly offensive about it, but considering all the hype surrounding Marissa Meyer's *Cinder*, I expected so, so much more than what I actually got. Before reading *Cinder*, I understo...

*4.5 Stars* This was absolutely amazing!! Why didn't anyone tell me to read Cinder sooner?! Just kidding...mostly! The world that Marissa Meyer created and the characters she populated it with are so great. I seriously can't wait to continue on in The Lunar Chronicles series. If you're looking for a fantastic sci-fi book review, definitely check out Cinder!

“I'm sure I'll feel much more grateful when I find a guy who thinks complex wiring in a girl is a turn-on.”
In this, my third attempt to read Cinder, I finally made it to the end. But I find myself wishing I hadn't bothered. Going into this book, I thought it was fair to expect a light, probably unremarkable, but ultimately entertaining read. I did not come to this book wanting my mind to be blown with science or to be taken to another world by beautiful prose, but I also did not expect it to...

As seen on The ReadventurerFirst, let's give credit where it's due. A cyborg Cinderella? Wow! That's a bold concept. I applaud Marissa Meyer for dreaming this up.In this reimagining of the fairy tale, Lihn Cinder is a cyborg, meaning she's almost half machine – she has prosthetic hands and a foot, and a good portion of her internal organs are wired into her body. Cinder is a mechanic in New Beijing, the capital of the Eastern Commonwealth, a country devastated by plague. One day, Prince Kai, the...

Why? WHY DIDN'T I READ CINDER SOONER?! It was so AWESOME! MY EMOTIONS!!Let me just say this right off the bat: I loved Cinder. Why on earth did I put off reading it for so long? I've had *Cinder* sitting on my Kindle for months, and I kept skipping over it. Huge mistake! I even went to my local bookstore twice, picked up *Cinder*, and then put it right back down. But that doesn't matter now because I've fixed the problem and completely fallen in love with this amazing story. Looking for the best...
