This is book 2 in The Time Corps series. I read book 1, *The Clockwork Cathedral*, last month when I needed some fun escapism. I enjoyed that fast-paced, creative time travel novel (my kind of comfort read) so much that I decided to try book 2, *Cat's Paw (The Time Corps Chronicles, #2)* by Heather Blackwood. In book 1, a young woman who is a Tulane medical student in present-day New Orleans suddenly finds herself pulled through a rip in time back to 1857. The sequel, *Cat's Paw*, features the s...

Professor and crew delve even deeper into the mysteries of the time machine and the sprawling multiverse it unlocks, all while scrambling to return two of their own to their rightful times and universes. A real page-turner – thoroughly enjoyed it! If you're looking for engaging time travel books, Heather Blackwood's *Cat's Paw (The Time Corps Chronicles, #2)* is a great choice.

I've decided to call it quits on this series.
It's not *bad*, exactly—just complicated in that head-scratching way time travel stories often are. My issue with time travel narratives is that they can make the plot feel totally arbitrary. If *anything* can happen at *any* time, where's the actual story? And honestly, attempts to put rules and limits on the time travel always feel just as random.
Specifically, with *Cat's Paw (The Time Corps Chronicles, #2)* by Heather Blackwood, I couldn't find...

Okay, so a drakkar... staffed by monkeys as crew... and it folds up into a piece of cloth when you're done with it... What can I even say? Absolutely superb! Heather Blackwood's *Cat's Paw (The Time Corps Chronicles, #2)* is just that kind of wild ride. For anyone looking for unique fantasy book reviews, this one's a winner.

I really enjoyed **Cat's Paw**!
Heather Blackwood's writing is simply beautiful, and you can't help but fall in love with the characters from the start. The story wraps up nicely, but thankfully leaves you wanting more, hinting at future books in the series. I'd definitely recommend **Cat's Paw** to anyone looking for a great read. It's a fantastic addition to the time travel book reviews scene!

A Viking ship crewed by monkeys? Seriously?

The first book focused more on the Professor and Felicia, while this second installment shines a spotlight on Hazel and Mr. Neil Grey.
Six years after Felicia was sent to the wrong future, things are set in motion once again. Neil Grey works as a hired killer for a Mr. March. He travels through time and universes, eliminating people who would otherwise escape the law – such as Hazel's uncle, a child abuser. But after asking too many questions, Neil realizes that not everyone is as bad as Mr. Ma...

Like the Mysterious Cathedral of its Predecessor Ever seen one of those mechanical theaters? The clockwork gadgets that seem harmless but then open up to reveal an entire dancing, singing, whatever-you-want menagerie. Like the Cathedral from the first Time Corps book. (Think of that singing "It's a Small World" ride that welcomes you to Duloc in the first *Shrek* movie.)That's what the Time Corps series is shaping up to be. *Clockwork Cathedral* is that door, the shell. In *Cat's Paw*, it begins...

Cat's Paw continues the story from The Clockwork Cathedral, and it's an excellent second book in the series. Loads of time travel, great character development, a touch of magic, and an ending that leaves you with even *more* questions.
Fortunately, book three – Luna Park – is already out, and I've got my copy ready to go! As far as time travel book reviews go, Heather Blackwood's Cat's Paw is a must-read.
