Information is power, and in the high-stakes world of the Analog series, whoever controls the feed rules the world. If you enjoyed the first installment of the Analog series, Bandwidth, get ready—because the sequel, Borderless (Analog #2), is even better. Eliot Peper masterfully weaves together a vision of an apocalyptic future and hard science fiction rooted in today’s headlines, wrapping it all into a gripping detective and espionage thriller. While that alone would make for a great read, Peper’s true genius shines through in his character development. He brings back the familiar faces from the first book w...

As the middle installment of the Analog trilogy, Borderless (Analog #2) continues to focus on the Commonwealth and The Feed—a vision of what Facebook and its newsfeed could have been, rather than the total dumpster fire of a company it actually became, peddling a product that, while occasionally useful, causes immense harm. Borderless (Analog #2) is easily my favorite of the books I’ve read by Eliot Peper so far, including Cumulus, Bandwidth, and True Blue. The writing feels a bit clumsy in a few...

I really enjoyed this read, but...Borderless (Analog #2) by Eliot Peper features a fantastic protagonist with a truly compelling character arc. She learns so much from her experiences and shows remarkable personal growth throughout the narrative. The plot is engaging, and there are some genuinely tense action scenes to keep you hooked.Much like the first installment, this book is intelligent and packed with ambitious, big-picture ideas. I love that. It’s a rare find in modern sci-fi book reviews,...

I was torn between a four and a five-star rating for Borderless (Analog #2). This book was incredibly intense, and that was both its greatest strength and its slight downfall. The heroine was remarkably intuitive and creative, while the villain was chillingly power-hungry and cruel. The kidnapping arc was harrowing and exotic, the plot was intellectually challenging, and the resolution felt deeply satisfying. However, a little bit of 'extreme' goes a long way, and by the final pages, I found mys...

I won this book in a Goodreads giveaway. In Borderless (Analog #2) by Eliot Peper, a freelance spy in the near future accepts a job, only to discover the mission is far darker than she anticipated, complete with a web of hidden ulterior motives. Personally, I didn't find the futuristic world-building all that engaging, but your mileage may vary. If you are looking for a new sci-fi thriller recommendation, this might be worth a look.

More action. More suspense. More intrigue. More of everything in the second installment of the Analog Series, Borderless (Analog #2).It’s all about the feed, the clash, and the wisdom of two women—Diana and Helen—who hold the present, the future, and the ultimate destiny of the world in the grip of their attacks and counterattacks.Because,The feed was the information infrastructure that empowered nearly every human activity and on which nearly every human activity relied. A talisman that lent me...

Spectacular. It's not out yet (I read the uncorrected proof), but Eliot Peper just gets better and better with each book. Borderless (Analog #2) is riveting, relevant, and a truly wonderful read. If you are looking for your next must-read sci-fi book review, look no further.

This is the second installment in the series, but if you’ve already read the first book, you know it pretty much wrapped up its main story. That said, the author laid just enough groundwork to allow us to return to this incredible near-future world with a new set of characters. We follow CIA agent Diana as she gets caught up in a web of intrigue and high-stakes action in her mission to keep "the feed" safe from those who would use it for harm. It’s a fantastic mystery set in a thought-provoking, ...

When we last left the Analog series at the end of its first entry, Bandwidth, the story felt pretty wrapped up while still laying the groundwork for a follow-up. I expected to jump back into Dag’s life and follow him as he handled the aftermath. But Eliot Peper had a better idea. Yes, let’s follow that lead, but let’s look at it from a different angle. Instead of Dag, we’re inside the head of Diana, the former CIA agent Dag used for intel and, by the end of Bandwidth, a promising romantic intere...
