Beneath a Sky of Endless Stars was absolutely no exception. If you're looking for your next great read, check out this book review! Quick summary: Beneath a Sky of Endless Stars follows two women across dual timelines and multiple POVs, whose lives become unexpectedl...

Don't let the title, cover, or Bermuda Triangle mentions in the synopsis fool you—Beneath a Sky of Endless Stars isn't quite the sweeping romance or deep mystery you might expect. And while it's a decent read, I wouldn't peg it as quintessential book club material. It leans more toward light suspense, making contemporary fiction perhaps the most accurate genre, even with those early scenes set in 1990 and 1986. There are a few moments that feel out of place, like characters using phrases such as...

Whew. By page 13, I was completely swept up and over my head in Beneath a Sky of Endless Stars. In this romantic mystery, love and tragedy walk hand-in-hand. Julianne MacLean’s writing is flawless and beautiful, so smooth that it’s almost hypnotizing. And just when you're settled into the story, she throws in a twist, and goes on to pen a multi-layered plot that's a tale of hope and perseverance, featuring women who remain faithful and forgiving even when faced with undeniable truths. The world’...

EXCERPT: Olivia - Miami 1990I should have known better. I shouldn't have said the things I did. That's what I told myself when I learned what happened to my husband on his return flight from the US Virgin Islands. But isn't that what we all say after something goes terribly wrong and we look back and wish we had behaved differently? ABOUT 'Beneath a Sky of Endless Stars': Olivia Hamilton is married to the love of her life, Dean, a charismatic pilot who flies private jets for the rich and famous....

Thanks to NetGalley & Lake Union Publishing for an eARC of this book. The following review is my honest reflection on the text provided. Is June a plane crash mystery month or something I don't know about? Beneath a Sky of Endless Stars is the second eARC I've read with a lost plane at the center of the narrative (see: The Gravity of Missing Things).I may be in the minority here – the Goodreads rating is very high – but I found Olivia to be an insufferable perspective to read. To be fair, though,...

Julianne MacLean is an author I've been meaning to read for ages, and I'm thrilled I finally had the chance. I absolutely love her writing style! I also have to give a shout-out to a fantastic Canadian author! (Woot Woot!!) 🇨🇦 I really enjoyed the story, and the writing flows effortlessly from one timeline to another. The story jumps between 1986, 1990, and the later 1990s, then moves into 2012 and concludes in 2017. It follows the life of Olivia Hamilton, a young wife whose pilot husband goes ...
