Stacy Jones's alien books are my religion. I absolutely adore them, especially *Aria's Awakening (Taken, #1)*. This sci-fi romance is a must-read for any book review enthusiast.

Interesting and New!As a fan of slow burn reverse harem novels, Aria's Awakening (Taken, #1) by Stacy Jones is something truly new and fresh. It took just a little while to get into, but once it hooks you, you are GONE! I absolutely loved the love interests and the way they treat the protagonist; they're protective yet incredibly respectful of her being a total badass. And damn, I seriously can't wait to see how Stacy Jones explores their interesting... equipment, haha! This book review definite...

This book could have been a hell of a lot shorter. Aria's point-of-view chapters in Aria's Awakening (Taken, #1) by Stacy Jones absolutely sucked the life out of me. The insta-lust was just too damn over the top in this fantasy romance. I honestly couldn't stand it. I'm so incredibly annoyed, and this book review reflects my frustration.

Couldn't get into it. The writing in *Aria's Awakening (Taken, #1)* is beautiful, but I knew coming into this *Stacy Jones* novel that I don't really enjoy reading alien-human romances or RHs. Aria's a total badass, though, and I loved the combination of her experiences as the Assassin and a Special Agent. Reading about her and her backstory was pretty much the only reason I continued reading further into this *sci-fi romance*.
Ultimately, this wasn't the right story for me, but it could defini...

Aria hearing me?
One minute she's an FBI agent, living a normal human life. The next moment she's a whirling destroyer in a gladiator arena. She goes to sleep as one, awakes as the other, in both realms. Her 'normal' life is lonely, wanting what her teammate has - a family. Is that why, even though she brings destruction, she's hoping the arena her is the 'real' her? Because she sees red skin and gold eyes, and a glowing blue male on the arena floor. And something in her mind whispers, 'mine'.

4.5 starsFinally, a strong, clearheaded, kickass FBI special agent heroine...in a space reverse harem! This is exactly what I was hoping for when I picked up Stacy Jones's *Aria's Awakening (Taken, #1)*.I absolutely loved how this book started out. Aria and her mates have been fighting alongside each other for years, caring for each other, her mates adoring her and protecting her. Then they all gain full sentience, and it's beautiful to see them recognize each other in the midst of blood, rage, ...

So... I have this list of authors whose characters are so objectionable, or something in their book turned me off so badly, that as soon as I see their names on a book title, it's an automatic NO. I don't even have to read the summary; any more books from them are just a NO. Stacy Jones is not that kind of author. This author belongs on my *other* list. The 'any-new-books-this-author-publishes-is-an-automatic-Must-read' list.

Stacy Jones is quickly becoming one of my favorite romantic sci-fi authors, and *Aria's Awakening* certainly doesn't disappoint! The world-building is fantastic, the heroine is a total badass, and her heroes strike just the right balance of protective and adoring. So much happens in this book, and I absolutely can't wait to see what's next in Stacy Jones's series. Don't let the fact that *Aria's Awakening* is a Reverse Harem (RH) dissuade you if that's not typically your genre. While I personall...
