Eat or be eaten! No matter how many soldiers or how much ammunition you bring, nothing can fully protect you in the jungle. If the jungle wants you, it will take you. That's the Amazon factor. Everyone who enters this vast green wilderness experiences both its mercy and its madness.▪️▪️▪️The novel has a captivating start, and this characteristic continues throughout. The measured descriptions of the characters are excellent, and the coordination among a host of characters is remarkable. A terrifi...

The Amazon, Brazil's rainforest, is one of the most dangerous and mysterious places on Earth. Even in this age of modern science, much of this jungle remains unexplored. It's a treasure trove of known and unknown chemistry and biology. However, it's also a very challenging environment due to its hazardous conditions, terrifying creatures, and indigenous tribes with their own beliefs and ways of life, who can become deadly enemies at any moment. This makes the Amazon jungle a perfect setting for ...

4.5⭐I think I'm enjoying James Rollins' standalone novels more than his hit series, Sigma Force. I really dig this one, and I'm not usually a fan of hot, sweaty settings like the Amazon (I prefer the cold), but wowza, *Amazonia* is a winner!Remarkably, an ex-special forces/CIA guy makes his way to a remote village four years after he and his 30-person research team went missing… but barely. He's skin and bones, covered in flies buzzing around oozing sores, with maggots chowing down on his wounds...

About twenty years ago, *Amazonia* was my introduction to James Rollins. I was killing time in an airport, needing something to devour on a long flight. Knowing I loved thrillers with an archaeological or biological twist, it immediately caught my eye. I ended up loving it, and it sparked a tradition – every time I was in an airport, I'd hunt through the bookstore for something similar. After a few years, I started buying in advance because the airport selection was often lacking. It also ignite...

Amazonia—a wildly entertaining book that takes place in the scorching hot jungles of South America, has some interesting speculative science along the way, good characters, and a great setting. This was my first James Rollins book—a name I’ve seen around for a while, but had never tried. I now know that I am a big James Rollins fan! This book revolves around a team of scientists and military personnel sent on a mission deep into the Amazon jungle to investigate the disappearance of a previous t...

I became a James Rollins fan after reading just two of his books! *Amazonia* is simply outstanding. The Amazon expedition was brilliantly portrayed; I felt like I was right there with the characters. It’s been a long time since I went on an Amazonian adventure, and I must say, this one was incredibly enjoyable! ❤️ If you're looking for thrilling adventure books, definitely check out James Rollins' *Amazonia*.

3.5 stars.

Not too bad at all. It's just that toward the end, it got a little too crazy – even for me. I guess I have my limits. If you're looking for a wild ride with James Rollins' *Amazonia*, be prepared for some over-the-top action. A decent read, but maybe not for those seeking grounded realism. Check out this *Amazonia* book review before diving in!

What a huge disappointment. My rating might change depending on how I feel about the novel later. I'm still debating whether to give it 1 or 2 stars. Most of my 1-star ratings are for books I didn't finish, so I might just give this one a 2. Lucky break, but like I said, it could drop to 1 star someday. The main problem is the characters. Almost all of them were flat and dull. So dull that you wouldn't even care if they died. Honestly, Kelly and her daughter were the only well-developed character...

Holy moly! I stumbled upon another super fun read, *Amazonia* by James Rollins, that somehow slipped under my radar and is now shooting up my favorites list! Time for another quick review. (Does two make a trend?...oh, I hope not..) This was my first James Rollins experience, and thank goodness for that! Maybe someone was listening!Almost all James Rollins stories, except for maybe two, get the same intro from me..."Fast Paced." *Amazonia* is no exception. However, I think the balance between th...
